WHO Poll
Q: 2021/22 What competition should we prioritise this season?
a. The league is our bread & butter, so this year let's have a club sandwich
b. We're owed an FA Cup after Gerrard nicked our last one in 06, our name's on it in 22
c. A bye to the League Cup 3rd round gives us a good start, let's make it count
d. The Europa is our best ticket to the Champions League, this is the one
e. What's wrong with you, let's do the lot, has the quadruple ever been done

Okja the film...
Sorry to piss on everyone's chips after yesterday's result.

I watched this last night and went to bed and woke up thinking about it instead of our result yesterday which is unusual.
Absolutely harrowing, I defy anyone to watch it and not question why they still eat meat, in this instance pork.

Not being preachy, just saying.

Except Jews for Jesus respect Kosher, and this lot are more likely to think Jesus was a very naughty boy than the Messiah

That Salt Bae bloke looks really annoying.

In addition to all the stupid black rubber glove theatre at your table, he insists on feeding the customers a forkful of steak as if they were toddlers, which is creepily intimate. I've seen the videos. I would have to be a buzzkill and tell him to hop it.

Ah I see.
LOL, sounds like Jews for Jesus.

It's quite common in UK Reform Judaism too.

No, I meant the anti-Kosher religious Jews, not vegetarianism.

I think it's more US than UK.

.....not heard of that gph. Funnily enough a fair few Jews are vegetarians as it cuts out the issue altogether.

I was very partial to a bacon roll with brown sauce when I ate meat. That along with a steak and roast chicken are my biggest misses.

Depends on the wedding.

Have you heard of the Trefa feast?

There's a wing of Liberal Judaism which is actively anti-Kosher, reckoning it distracts from the deeper meaning of the religion.

In 1883, they held a feast of very un-Kosher food, intended for Jewish attendees. According to the account you read, pork was or wasn't on the menu, but shellfish and other meats done in dairy definitely was.

And there have been porky repeats.

All of my ethnically Jewish friends are atheists, as you might expect. And they all love a bacon sarny, perhaps more than I do.

Re: Okja the film...
Gave up buying it for home even longer ago Geep. I remember when it was almost to the month that I gave it up completely as it was shortly after me and the future wife moved in together.
I have had one or two threads about this topic since so maybe that's where you're getting mixed up.

Always goes down like a pork chop at a Jewish wedding on here.

Thanks to IBS if I quit meat and went vegetarian or vegan I would never be out of the bathroom!

Where to start on this joke thread

Soldo, it’s hypocritical unless you aren’t referring to being two faced, and you’ve got more front than Brighton calling someone out for blubbing watching animal films

Road, you’ve spent a lifetime with a downer on pork so you can fuck right off telling people anything about having pork in their diet

Do you really, really trust tuna fishermen to not kill dophins? Even ones who say they are dolphin-friendly?

Tuna and dolphin hunt co-operatively, so dolphins are often in close proximity to tuna (some species of which are very intelligent for fish, as they are pseudo-warm-blooded, which gives a hike to brain power and makes it worthwhile to have more brain in addition).

Re: Okja the film...
Pretty sure you announced it on here, but I'll take your word for it.

Just one thing - maybe you gave up eating it at home before you gave it up entirely?

It's a lot of hassle cooking both non-meat and meat meals, as I know from meat-eating friends with vegetarian children.

Re: Okja the film...
Geep, I gave up meat 10 years ago when I moved in with the wife. Met you around 5 years ago.

No I don't agree with Fish farms or overfishing, which why we try to eat only sustainable and responsibly caught fish.
Fish are not mammals or as sentient either so it makes it a bit easier. Only really do it for health reasons, otherwise would give it up.

I've mentioned 5-a-side two or three times in as many decades.

I hardly ever play it.

6-a-side is my small side game, and I also play 11-a-side when our two games are a couple short and we amalgamate them.

Obvious, I need to mention it more often, so NS eventually gets it...

Kenzo son….. I’ve mentioned Sea World as many times as Geep has with his 5 a side stories… ie… maybe once or twice in passing…
