Arthur Cabral
We are being linked with this Brazilian striker, currently banging in goals for FC Basel. Mind you, Barcelona are also linked, so let's hope he's aware that they are on the decline, whilst we are increasingly MASSIVE. Yes, I know it's only a YouTube compilation, but I really like the cut of his job. If we come out of the January window having prioritized a CB over a striker like this guy, I shall be royally fucked off.

Apologies for the annoying music.

Pole position

Besides if Moyes want his man l think GSB would happy to cater to his whim since he's doing a great job.

Jim 79 in any case we seems to be in ploe position in getting him since Barcelona have lost interest and it appears that they are after now Cavani who might available on a free.

Hammer-ed, 'Barca would have to pay in instalments and we can pay the full amount up front', you're aware of our owner David Sullivan and how he does business I take it?

Re: Arthur Cabral
Well hopefully if we do get him hopefully he's more like Salah then Ajeti. Both of whom played for Basel.

Bayo seems a better fit anyway; quicker, cheaper, and worked his way up from the lower leagues suggesting a good attitude.

I too thought that about Bayo and was quite interested in his story. But then I found out what he was like off the pitch (a bit of a dick who doesn't learn from his mistakes - got caught drink driving twice) So I really doubt Moyes would touch him given the value he places on team spirit and camaraderie.

Re: Arthur Cabral
In general we have been amazing this season. Scoring quite a few ( one of the very few positive goal differences in the league) and defending brilliantly but we HAVE lost four defenders and we DID just stick three past Chelsea.

I'd love to have more options but I am also aware of the problems the wrong kind of minds have on a team/squad. We have a crisis in the defence.

Re: Arthur Cabral
Sorry that come over a bit wrong.........what I meant to say is a Brazilian will most likely have a preference for Spain over England if asked to choose between the two regardless of club size/success....lets hope he's different.........

Re: Arthur Cabral
Also get the feeling Cabral could be unrealistic given Barca are said to be sniffing around.

Bayo seems a better fit anyway; quicker, cheaper, and worked his way up from the lower leagues suggesting a good attitude.

Re: Arthur Cabral
It's just simply a fact it's rare a Brazilian if given the choice between a top Spanish club or a top English club they would feel both their football & culture is better suited to Spain.

Re: Arthur Cabral
ludo 21 Another issue is that Barcelona could only pay in instalment for his transfer fee , due to financial restrictions. We on the other hand could pay the full sum up front. We have more available funds then them but no doubt Cabral is focussing on Bar's past glories rather then it's current situation. I believe they are about mid table in thier league now.

Re: Arthur Cabral
Hammer-ed - that is understandable really... like many he just hasn't realised quite how MASSIVE we are now!

I've just seen the stat that we haven't lost a game by more than one goal in the last forty games which is the longest run of any club in the top 5 leagues in Europe.

Re: Arthur Cabral
Deep down l bet he playing a waiting game so that Barcelona would sign up. If that the case then f**k him. We don't want a person to think of us as a second choice option.

Yeah who needs a striker. Our 31 y.o. very injury prone striker is more then enough to compete in 4 competitions

We just put 3 past Chelsea who had not conceded more than one all season. Yeah, desperate for a striker.
