This is the American who killed a motorcyclist by driving on the wrong side of the road, and then skipped bail to leave for the USA, helped by the US Government (who claimed diplomatic immunity, but in any case don't extradite their nationals to face trial abroad). She is now due to appear at court on video link to face a "death by dangerous" charge. Despite the so-called independence of our prosecutors and judiciary, I am sure that a diplomatic deal has been done. She will plead guilty either to the existing charge or (more likely) the lesser charge of "death by careless", and be given a suspended sentence and driving ban (in effect, no punishment at all because she is out of the jurisdiction).

I know she's a US citizen but if baffles me why they would help her like they have. I mean, this is the UK, not Iran.
They should have said to her you are fucking idiot and you deserve to be punished by the Uk authorities.
