An Art expert said the value of the statue when it was up and hardly anyone knew it was there, me included, was about £6000. He now says that due to the incident and the worldwide coverage, it's worth around £300,000. It's back fired a bit for the criminals,

It’s ok to riot, loot and burn on our streets?
It’s ok to invade and take over hold a Portland neighborhood?

Alfs, if its untrue, why was it not removed by the so offended council years ago? Why was it still there upsetting all the local cider drinkers, last year? The same people who wanted to 'take back control' are now those complaining when the processes they apparently revered don't come to the conclusions they would like.
Bottom line is that these four defendants - though clearly irritating fuckers - were cleared by the our sovereign legal system. Deal with it.
The same suspects are also guilty of confusing 'history' with statues that were erected to venerate not educate.

Bristol Council have wanted to remove the statue for ages, but each time a poll of residents was conducted, the locals voted to keep it, so the council probably invited a mob to do their job for them. Another beautiful old city infected by its university students and left wing activists.
