Is Putin about to make a big mistake?

Lots of talk here that he is about to invade Ukraine.
NATO and the US won’t get involved but heavy sanctions have been threatened and Putin has threatened ending all diplomatic ties with the west.
Latest is that Putin will stage an attack making it look like Ukraine starts the conflict.
What’s being reported over there?
Is it about to kick off?

To this date, there is no treaty regulating DU weapons. The treaties on biological and chemical weapons as well as the 1925 Geneva Gas Protocol are not relevant as the toxic effect of DU is secondary, unlike the other weapons banned by these treaties where it is the primary character.
Also... Russia has stockpiles of the same ammo.... silly old Ivan

Not lunacy at all. The depleted uranium is not being used as an explosive rather it is part of the projectile because of its armour piercing properties.
In terms of danger it does not compare with endangering Londoners with Polonium or citizens of Salisbury wit Novichock.
Weak effort must do better to earn any shred of credibility.

Ukrainian Pravda (again) - pesky Romanians.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine intends to impose sanctions on senator of the Parliament of Romania, Diana Șoșoacă.
Șoșoacă drafted a bill on the southern region of Ukraine to "join Romania."
"A marginal politician is trying to 'restore the cultural identity of the Romanian population' with this step. It is a classic example of Russian revanchism. We strongly condemn the attempt to question the territorial integrity of Ukraine, to undermine the spirit of good neighbourliness between Ukraine and Romania," Oleh Nikolenko, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, wrote on Facebook.
According to the Romanian media, Șoșoacă drafted a bill to denounce the agreement on good neighbourliness and cooperation between Ukraine and Romania.
In the amendments to the bill 129/1997 on the ratification of the document, Șoșoacă suggests that "Romania annexes the historical territories that belonged to it, namely: Northern Bucovina, Herce, Bujak (Cagul, Bolgrad, Izmail), historical Maramures and Snake Island".
Far-right senator Șoșoacă has founded the party S.O.S. and non-partisan in the Parliament of Romania. Previously, she was a member of the right-wing populist AUR party.
Șoșoacă with his initiative publicly supports the statement of former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who said last summer that Romania would like to annex territories in Ukraine.
Moreover, Șoșoacă is a good friend of the Russian ambassador in Bucharest. She accepts his invitations every time. During her last visit to the embassy, she went to celebrate the "results of the special operation" in Ukraine."

Iran has made a mockery of Obama’s Non nuclear agreement, haven’t they?
Who would have thought that the Iranians weren’t to be trusted.
I expect Israel to get stuck in and the USA will be the ones funding their war effort, just like Ukraine.
Then we get to prop up Taiwan when the Chinese make their move.
So to answer your question Pickle, No, I’d let the Israeli’s fight their war.

General Miller the joint chief of staff chairman warned today that Iran is 12 days away from having material for a Nuke and only several months away from having a nuclear weapon.
The USA has said there is no way the Iranians will ever be allowed to have Nukes.
I wonder what sleepy Joe will do?
