How on Earth are they constantly allowed to keep getting games postponed They’ve been doing this for over a month If the majority of your players came down with it then 10 days later that’s the majority of your squad now immune to it for a few months

Fucking hell.... not sure how you sleep at night all this injustice in the world...
What Burnley are doing is an absolute farce... fucking Cardiff Blues had 42 (FORTY TWO) players unavailable a few weeks back... they still managed to honour their 2 fixtures in the Heineken cup... not being funny but when Man United had their squad decimated at Munich they played a game a couple of weeks later.... what's happening now is supremely gay and bent

To be fair to Burnley they have been in some games which wasn't their request. But I get the point.
Makes me laugh with Arsenal getting games postponed whilst selling players. Fucking joke.

Burnley have been involved in games where the other teams have asked for postponements. If Im correct this is their first request.

Burnley have 25 players like the rest despite these claims of 'small squads'. If they have 13 including a keeper they should be playing.

It's not just Burnley who are playing this game, so you can't blame fully them.
Blame the Premier League for allowing this to happen. And you just watch them bend over and extend the season for them.

I think the problem is that the u23 squad are not considered in the list of available players even though they are on professional contracts.
There is some rule about exceptional players but the PL sees them as separate.
So Arsenal with just 1 actual covid sickness got away with saying they couldn’t field a “competitive” PL team.
The thing is the league has to end in May and the tv companies are going to want the matches they paid for. So I’m hoping for the teams with all these games in hand i hope it ends up in a fixture pileup where they are having to play 3 games a week.
Otherwise I can’t believe how well spurs and Arsenal have done out of covid..

To be fair when any of these games are rearranged the side that applied for postponement should not be able to use players who were at AFCON or part of the claim as being 'injured'. Play with the rest of the squad plus those that were down as COVID absentees. Also the clubs should be given a couple of alternative dates and the team that DIDNT cry off gets to choose. If that means Burnley play Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, Saturday then SO BE IT.

Noticed premier league don’t seem to share the number of positives in league anymore.
No just on their website, up to 16th January, the latest batch of tests.
https://www.premierleague.com/news/2211279
Premier League sides have 25 man squads registered. Covid postponements, should be for a fixed percentage of that squad, who have Covid, or isolating. Nothing for injuries, or unavailability.

Probably cos if they say 1 positive case and then let 3 teams cancel games it’s obvious it’s all a joke.

With 6 weeks taken out of next November & December with the lead up and tournament for the World Cup it will not be possible to extend this season beyond May 22nd. I believe every club has had 13 professionals available and allowing postponements for run of the mill injuries and AFCON absences is complete nonsense. Example is Arsenal who applied to have the Spurs game off on Friday and then played an u23 game that evening against us. Before sending a player out of loan.

I think it’s already been mentioned, but they should ban any new signings from playing in any rearranged games. And possibly any players in the African Nations as well,as we all know thats the reasons for wanting games postponed for some clubs.

The next move will be for the likes of Burnley, Leicester and spurs to request season extensions as its not fair to play 4 games in 10 days

It’s only going to hurt these teams
No extending the season these games all have to played very soon

They e request 2 games to be called off. The rest is where they learnt that was an option, as the opposition requested the games off.
