Bloody funny clip going around today of mechanics curling colleagues on roller trays through the workshop with a couple of Herbert’s with brushes sweeping away

About as close as I’ve got to watching any of this caper

Curling fits seamlessly into the Winter Olympics.

(That's not a compliment to one or the other)

Brent why you being like this? Is it because you haven't got a fence to sit on anymore?

Re: Winter Olympics
I've got another plan to liven up curling.

Make it more like ten-pin bowling but your opponents have to stand on spots on the ice at the other end with their backs to the person delivering the stone.

If you throw and hit an opponent, you win some points. If the opponent jumps out of the way, they lose points. Hard throws will obviously be preferable as you stand more chance of injuring an opponent.

Well I'd find that entertaining!

Re: Winter Olympics
Curling is a great game, very watchable, moreso than Lawn Bowls which is for OAPs.
Anyone who disagrees is a cunt.

Re: Winter Olympics
From what i have seen with the bias on the bowls meaning you can move them both ways like a geriatric Mitchell Starc it is a far quicker and more skilful game.
Sliding a stone down an ice patch feels like the sort of the thing cave men would do waiting for a WOOLY MAMMOTH to turn up.

I think they should have a couple of team mates raking the grass in front of bowls too.

As the average age of participants is considerably higher, it could be quite a laugh watching them trying to keep up without falling over.

Curling is basically lawn bowls on ice.

They haven’t been given the medals yet as far as I know. It was pending all this mess.

Re: Winter Olympics
Olympics and drugs, I feel sorry for three of our sprinters who bagged a silver in the men’s 4 x 100 metres relay last year. C J Utah has returned a drug busting sample and so has disqualified his team.

All that hard work and dedication destroyed by a druggie. And in time honoured fashion Ujah cannot understand how he ingested something polluted with a banned substance.
