Apraxia can be a bastard. Ho3pfully for him its not a new development as that can be a sign of a nasty neuro illness (MND PSP etc) .

Didn't Frank say it was Macari who suggested Frank was going to sue him? Macari also said Frank might have avoided the injury if he had been a "wee, bit quicker and fitter". Not surprised few liked Macari!! Good luck to Kammy though, that game when he missed the sending off was funny.

Really wanted to hate him because of McAvennie. I hardly watch Sky Sports because the commentators think they’re talking about high level physics or how to solve world hunger. The level of seriousness and misery from Callagher, Neville etc is a bit more than I want with my sport. At least with Kamara he was having a laugh which is the bare minimum I want from football.

Every time I've met him seems a decent bloke ,.he once chatted to me and my daughter when he was reporting on west ham v Sunderland , minolet was having a worldie as we drew 1 all, but kamara chatted to us from the gantry in the main stand , it was pretty empty at the back and atmosphere awful but kamara was class. I hated him as a player utter filth , so his TV persona being the opposite to that thug was refreshing.

Him saying he would have been sued is a joke unless I have missed all the many many cases where players have sued each over the last 40 years .

All the joking about was just a put on turn it all off in the last years .

Frank was 80% less a player afterwards.

Was watching Soccer Saturday before I went out when Jeff Stelling announced he was leaving and they played a compilation of 'highlights'.
Basically showed him as a bit simple and completely incompetent in doing his job .... incl the Portsmouth game where he hadnt noticed a red card.
Done well to steal a living for 24 years
Presume he is off to work on his Lionel Ritchie look-a-like career.

At the time I thought it was a shocking tackle but the more I’ve seen it since the less shocking it has become

Saw him across a street at the World Cup in Tokyo and shouted something about it. Stupid and ignorant for various reasons, not least because I didn't really know anything about it other than he'd done it, but still. To his credit, he crossed the street and came and spoke to me about it for several minutes. He talked all about it and said that if it had been deliberate he'd have been sued up and down and I'm sure he said that he and Frank were fine. Anyway, he was thoroughly charming and a genuinely nice bloke. I apologised of course.

Saw him two more times in Japan in different cities, and both times he came over for a chat as if he'd seen a mate. Completely out of his way, no need at all for him to do it other than him just being a really nice bloke. He was with Jeff Stelling as well who was just as friendly.

I forget all this because his TV character is so irritating. I'd change channel rather than listen to him.

I don't recall too many specifics from bygone years, but I do remember being on holiday in Rhodes when news come through that he'd done his leg, was fucking gutted. Ince's last game for us too.

As for Kamara, he should consider himself very fortunate to have had this 'job' for 24 years, not the only ex-player though who has had it easy for so long, Lawro being another.

He also claimed a Melbourne dental nurse gave him a bj in the surgery.

McAvennie recalls in his autobiography, Scoring, An Expert's Guide, that Kamara had "come straight through him, crumpling him to the ground" and had then stood over him saying "Get up you Scottish bastard, this is a man's game". The tackle resulted in a broken leg, shattered ankle and torn ligaments for McAvennie who had two plates and a bolt inserted in his ankle and another plate in his leg.

Re: Chris Kamara is leaving Sky Sports after 24 years
What a loss.

He was doing report updates for Gilette soccer Saturday one week with him at Portsmouth, where he’d somehow managed to miss the fact that Pompey had scored from a penalty and the score was 1-1 rather than 0-1 to the away team that he was insisting upon.

To be reporting on a game and miss a goal is one thing, but one scored from a fucking penalty?….

I follow Frank on Twitter. A while ago he explained that it was just an accident. Said it was a normal tackle that happened to break his ankle and it wasn't Kamara's fault. They exchanged pleasantries online and seem to get on fine with no hard feelings.

Still haven’t forgiven him for breaking McAvennie’s leg
