Harrison Ford
|
Nearly 80 years old. FFS
Just me or does that make you feel old?
In other news, I didn't know Reyes (ex Arsenal) was no longer with us.
Anyone else famous you didn't realise was gone, or nearly?
God Save the Queen.

Ford wouldn't have been in on it because he's a cynical and stubborn fucker. Impressive trick.

Sir Alec agreed 2% of the royalties that were going to George Lucas. Lucas was on 20% of the overall box office takings Because all went well Lucas proposed that 2% should be 2.5% but the producer reduced that to 2.25% when Guinness wanted it in writing. So at the end of the day he was banking 0.45% of the box office takings of Star Wars. That sounds like a BIG number
Especially for a film he described as 'fairy tale rubbish'.

Thanks, knew it was something like that but didn't know about Cushing. There is an old Parkinson interview on You Tube with Guinness. He said he met James Dean and Dean invited him for dinner. Before dinner Dean wanted to show Guinness his new car. Guinness said he had this strange premonition that he hadn't had before and never had after about the car and said to Dean "don't get in this car or you will die in it". Dean laughed it off and was killed the following Thursday. Weird stuff.

Pretty useful joiner as well, started in some of the early 60s TV westerns, so must be that kind of age

Sir Alec got 2% and Peter Cushing got 1%. They were both very minted very quickly.

CBS won’t let Selleck out of his Magnum contract. So Ford got the gig. Common knowledge.
