Bill Turnbull Has Sadly Died.
The former BBC Breakfast host Bill Turnbull has died at the age of 66, his family has said.

They said in a statement: “Following a challenging and committed fight against prostate cancer, Bill passed away peacefully at his home in Suffolk surrounded by his family on Wednesday 31 August.

Always came across as a very nice man.

Real shame seemed a really nice bloke. Nice to see some who have recovered on here though as sometimes when stories like this appear you wonder if all that treatment and crap he went through was worth it.

Very sad news. Agree, seemed a really nice man
A shame given it's one of them ones that is usually treated successfully when diagnosed early.

Re: Bill Turnbull Has Sadly Died.
Having been diagnosed with prostate cancer five years ago, I feel extremely lucky to be alive.

Get yerselves checked out boys (the doctor uses plenty of lube, so don't worry about that part)

Sad news a wonderful broadcaster when the BBC was top notch.
Get yourselves checked gentlemen I did two years ago without any symptoms and I ended up having a biopsy then discovered I had prostate cancer.
Four weeks of radiotherapy which is inconvenient more than anything and since then my PSA levels have dropped down to 0.5 from 7 .
Please don't ignore any symptoms it could save your life.
