Re: Squad Building for 25/26
“Please reinforce your claim by giving us one number - net transfer spend minus loan interest paid to Sullivan during his time here.” I don’t have an anorak so unable to meet that request. I’m not sure what it would prove anyway. And I’m by no means defending Sullivan. I think he’s been an awful Cha...

Re: Squad Building for 25/26
Although a blatant case of stereotyping, I look at the typical product of today’s West Ham academy as someone who is undoubtedly technically competent but lacking in the attributes of grit, determination, strength and endurance. That’s why it’s likely more profitable picking up rejects from other cl...

I suspect the importance of next week's cup final to Newcastle is being underestimated. This is a club without a trophy toits name in the colour TV era.

That game in '65 ended as a 4-3 home win with a Geoff Hurst hatrick. The Hammers racing into a 3-0 half-time lead before almost letting it slip. The 3rd Newcastle goal was scored by Pop Pop Pop Pop Pop Robson.

It's an horrendous revenue generating merry-go-round designed to maintain the status quo for the richest clubs. The money each club earns is not only determined by their performances in this years competition but also how they have fared in previous seasons. Thus, Man City earned more than Aston Vil...

At the time of Kretinki's investment there was a put and call option included which allowed Kretinski to buy Gold and Sullivan's remaining shares at an agreed fixed price. It was never announced how long the option would stay in place for.

Mohamadou Kanté was back on the Paris FC bench for their 1-0 defeat by Dunkerque at the weekend. He has yet to play a single minute since he was loaned back to them for the season by West Ham in the summer.

Anyone interested in seeing ten minutes or so of West Ham related content should watch Episode 2 of Public Disorder on Netflix where the Italian riot squad are sent in to police the build up to a Roma versus West Ham game. Plenty of claret and blue flag waving plus several choruses of "West Ham...

Yep, can't fault Soucek's attitude and he might fill an important short term gap. But as part of a possession based side he is not a great fit.

Re: Aston Villa vs West Ham United | FA Cup 3rd Round | 10.1.25 | Predictions & Match Thread
The difficulty with Soucek is that the game mostly passes him by in open play. Hardly has a touch and has miserable passing accuracy stats. He can be useful in both boxes, but he needs better footballers around him to compensate for his weaknesses. Hence, his best contribution was when Rice and Ling...

You have all forgotten Mohamadou Kanté. Signed by West Ham from Paris FC in the summer and immediately loaned back to them. He has been on the bench for 5 Ligue 2 games (which Paris FC lead) but has yet to get onto the pitch.
