Rumours today of interest in Garner from Everton. Utility midfielder, covers DM as well as both fullback positions. 

Kind of makes some sense.

Fullcrock, JWP and Guido most likely departures. I can only see a ST coming in. In an ideal world would be signing another CB, CM and Winger.

We are fucked if Bowen gets injured.

Even Savio Nsereko managed to contribute more with around the same amount of minutes than him producing 1 winning assist for Collison.

Bit unfair to compare the two. Nsereko's game time was all during that brief 4 months or so when Zola was doing great, whereas Guilherme has played in a team that's been constantly struggling and mostly not in his preferred position.

Is there any proper reason for this? Are there rules about eligibility for the u21's league, do they all have to be home grown or not played in top level foreign leagues? I don't know just wondering.

We haven't paid £20 million for him that's what we'll pay if all add ons are met and he's still only 19... Potts has just made the team at 22. 

You know what I mean, fact is he has shown virtually nothing so far. This is now the third manager he hasn't got a sniff with.  If he was a youngster he probably wouldnt make the bench but is in and around it as we paid some cash for him. 

Hopefully a loan in Jan gets him going. 

But he IS a youngster.

He Should be out on loan this season...but he can't because those that are responsible sent us into this season with only young Luis as backup to Summerville and Bowen . 

I hope for his case and ours, we sign a wide forward in the window and he gets the second half of the season on loan in the Championship where he'll play 70 mins plus every week. 

Ideally somewhere he can commute so his support network remain in place. 

He was always a "project" signing....he had barely played first team in Brazil....let alone pulled up trees.  He's looked lovely in the cameos he's had without true end product. 

He needs minutes. Its ludicrous that he's barely played a single game of U21s since being here, despite his lack of game time. Were doing a bad job of building on his talent.

What Championship team is going to take him?  Its a tough league, and there will be some youngsters that have played first team football or some first teamers who are out of favour in our league available.  

It's easy to go 'oh send him on loan' but reality is he hasn't shown anything anywhere for a decent club to take him. 

To think if we had pooled together the Ghillurme and Fullkrug money together could of got a decent striker.

Yep Guilherme needs to be farmed out to oldham or fleetwood for a season to sink or swim.
My gut feeling is he's another bad signing. I dont think being too young has stopped a player that is good enough from getting in the first team.

Got to give him more time considering how young he is starting out in a totally different way of life. That said, it's not looking good for him so far on what we've seen. I think a loan move would give us a better idea and also give him an opportunity to develop a bit away from the pressure cooker within the Club right now.

Not sure who is going to the Afcon but we might need a left back.

And what if he can't get us out of the shit?  We're then stuck with his players.

If we've learnt any lessons over the past few decades of multiple failed transfers, then I hope it's the one where we buy players that are best for the club, and not ones who are best for the manager.

This..... the success stories recently like Brighton, Bournemouth, Villa, Forest to some extent have a comittee or DOF targeting young players with potential to grow both in ability and in financial value. They then flip and repeat.  This should be more the target combined with bringing through youth players.  No more Kilman's or Fullkrug's. 

I would also like to see us adopt a policy of not recruiting anymore than say 2 signings a window who are 28+ 

I also don't get why we never seem to use loans, when our squad needs filling out why not take a loan of a big club.

West Ham, Fulham and Everton in contact for 21-year-old gem – €20m+ required

West Ham, Fulham and Everton are the latest Premier League clubs following Palmeiras midfielder Allan Elias. Spanish journalist Eduardo Burgos, from AS, reports that all three have already made enquiries about the 21-year-old.

Brighton were also recently linked with Allan, and now face new competition from their English rivals. The midfielder’s contract runs until December 2029, and Palmeiras set his release clause near €100m (£84m). The club want full control of any future move.

Palmeiras turned down two €20m (£17m) offers in the summer, one from Zenit and another from a Saudi club. Since then, Allan’s form has exploded. His performances in the Copa Libertadores impressed scouts across Europe and cemented his place under Abel Ferreira.

The academy product has already played over 50 matches this season, scoring twice and providing eight assists. He can feature as an attacking midfielder, winger or central midfielder. His mix of energy, creativity and work rate fits the modern Premier League profile.

Allan’s rise continues to attract attention. West Ham, Fulham and Everton are all keeping a close eye as the Brazilian becomes one of South America’s most-watched young players.

Sullivan won't go near Palmeiras anytime soon. He's already fretting about Guillerme who may come good but is still a bit raw but he will see the risk as too much.
