Potentially Regime Changing PL Predictions for 3rd - 5th March 2026. Take Shelter When So Advised.

Post Mike Oxsaw »

(Slight change in the blue font used. Let me know if it's not change enough as a preview doesn't use the same background as when the piece is submitted).

Premier League
Tuesday, 3 March 2026 19:30
A. F. C. Bournemouth v Brentford
Venue: Dean Court
League Positions: 10 v 7
Current Forms: 23 v 29

It's probably fair to say that Brentford "got away with it" at Burnley over the weekend to come away with all 3 points, but they won't be complaining.  Bournemouth are a different barrel of kettles though. They did well to come back for a point against a (still) spirited Sunderland. Neither of which helps differentiate between the sides.

Prediction: Draw
Premier League
Tuesday, 3 March 2026 19:30
Everton v Burnley
Venue: The Hill Dickinson Stadium
League Positions: 8 v 19
Current Forms: 22 v 10

As mentioned in the previous game, Burnley won't be too pleased with their result on Saturday - in fact they should be incandescent with rage. Everton will be cock-a-hoop after beating Newcastle away.

Prediction: Home Win
Premier League
Tuesday, 3 March 2026 19:30
Leeds United v Sunderland
Venue: Elland Road
League Positions: 15 v 12
Current Forms: 18 v 14

Two middling teams from last year's Championship battling it out to see who can be the most middle-ist. Sunderland will be the slightly happier the way the points went over the weekend, but that's about it; Leeds made Man City work. I think that effort, if carried over, will prove the more decisive.

Prediction: Home Win
Premier League
Tuesday, 3 March 2026 20:15
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Liverpool
Venue: Molineux
League Positions: 20 v 5
Current Forms: 25 v 42

Got egg on my face from Wolves last game, but I suspect I'm on much safer ground for this tie. Liverpool "lucked" 80% of their 5 goals against us, but they still all count. And they really didn't need that much help from either the officials or VAR. Wolves will delighted at having beat their neighbours but won't have enough in it for 2 wins on the bounce.

Prediction: Away Win
Premier League
Wednesday, 4 March 2026 19:30
Aston Villa v Chelsea
Venue: Villa Park
League Positions: 4 v 6
Current Forms: 11 v 18

Chatting to a couple of people over the weekend who both feel that Villa have peaked and will now not get a CL spot. Their current form does seem to support this - one win in their last 5 PL games. Chelsea do seem to have hit a sweet spot, despite losing to Arsenal on Sunday and I think they'll have enough to come away with the goodies.

Prediction: Away Win
Premier League
Wednesday, 4 March 2026 19:30
Brighton & Hove Albion v Arsenal
Venue: Falmer Stadium
League Positions: 11 v 1
Current Forms: 27 v 37

Not the game where Arsenal win the title, this one, although I do feel they will win. The Seagulls did us a big, big favour on Sunday, but that was against a team at the opposite end of the table to this evening's opponents.  Think it will get quiet feisty if Brighton hold out for, say, 70 - 80 minutes, but they'll still end up empty handed.

Prediction: Away Win
Premier League
Wednesday, 4 March 2026 19:30
Fulham v West Ham United
Venue: Craven Cottage
League Positions: 9 v 18
Current Forms: 36 v 18

A "must win" game for us.

See! See how so over-used that phrase is this season it's almost worn out!

Do we have it in us? Our recent performances suggest we do. Will we be sent here victorious? Why are you asking me? I certainly hope so, but Sullivan's financial fuckeries will certainly be playing on the minds of our better (to be sold in the summer, whatever) players. I am so, so tempted to nail this one up as a draw, but, fuck it! It really is now or never.

Prediction: Home Win
Premier League
Wednesday, 4 March 2026 19:30
Manchester City v Nottingham Forest
Venue: The Etihad Stadium
League Positions: 2 v 17
Current Forms: 45 v 7

We probably couldn't have asked for a better game to be played at the same time as ours. If we win and City win, well, you do the maths, you look at the table at full time. I ain't got the Alberts. City fighting for the title, Forest fighting for survival. 115 reasons why the boys in blue will pull this one off though.

Prediction: Home Win
Premier League
Wednesday, 4 March 2026 20:15
Newcastle United v Manchester United
Venue: St James' Park
League Positions: 13 v 3
Current Forms: 21 v 39

The contrasting tale of two uniteds. Newcastle's dip into European football seems to be weighing heavy on them. Manchester United have no such distractions. I believe current form and league position will be enough to overcome home advantage (but we can all dream in hope).

Prediction: Away Win
Premier League
Thursday, 5 March 2026 20:00
Tottenham Hotspur v Crystal Palace
Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
League Positions: 16 v 14
Current Forms: 1 v 23

If I've read the room correctly, I suspect every poster on here, if not every West Ham fan, will be cheering on the Palace tonight.

Just look at Spurs' current form; 1 point from a draw 5 weeks ago. But can we catch them? well, I suspect if you're into drawing current form trend lines it looks almost certain, but if they win tonight that option's almost certainly off the menu. Every nerve, every sinew, every muscle in my body is aching for a Palace victory. Sadly:

Prediction: Draw
Your very own newly elected interim prediction table:

A. F. C. Bournemouth v Brentford -
Everton v Burnley -
Leeds United v Sunderland -
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Liverpool -
Aston Villa v Chelsea -
Brighton & Hove Albion v Arsenal -
Fulham v West Ham United -
Manchester City v Nottingham Forest -
Newcastle United v Manchester United -
Tottenham Hotspur v Crystal Palace -

My Daft as a Box of Frogs acca:

Manchester City (@ home to Nottingham Forest 1/3)
Liverpool (Away @ Wolverhampton Wanderers 4/11)
Everton (@ Home to Burnley 8/13)

Then one of:

Arsenal (Away @ Brighton & Hove Albion 8/13)
  • Total stake: £11.00 - Potential returns: £30.80
Manchester United (Away @ Newcastle United 6/4)
  • Total stake: £11.00 - Potential returns: £42.67
Haven't decided yet, but Man U have the slightly better current form and higher odds

Clearly absolute click-bait for you though.

Feel free to take up the reins on this for next weekend and make a better fist of it. Nobody, least of all me, will mind in the least.
