Gank wrote: ↑12 Mar 2026, 00:23So what? This is a cup competition on weird terms. If you're comparing leagues, take the fancy Dan teams out of the equation and look at your run if the mill teams. Who is the bigger and better team, Newcastle or St. Pauli? Villa or Amiens? Manchester United or Vallodolid? None of them in this competition, all of them in the top division of their league.

some of those might not actually be in their top division, they're just teams from Germany, France and Spain that I thought of who weren't in the Champions League. But if I got any wrong, that actually reinforces my point.
So what? WTF are you on about Gank son? i didn't disagree with your reasoning for the PL to be the best, despite this set of results, if anything i agree!
Every team even ones packed with superstars and in leagues they win nearly every season have off days and lose/draw the odd game, so really nothing to see with this set of results.

Re: Premier league - worlds best league.
That's not a comparison of leagues though, is it? The 10th best team in England beats the 10th best team in any other league on the planet. And the 9th, and the 11th, and the 8th, and the 12th and so on.
The very best team in any league and the very worst team in any league isn't a true reflection of the entire division, let alone league. Take the top 50 English teams and that easily beats any other top 50 taking out the very top and the very bottom of each.
