There just doesn't seem to be any talent like there was back then.  It's like the interviews with the Hollywood Stars, Cagney, Jimmy Stewart, Kirk Douglas, even now watching those interviews there was an air of mystique.  Maybe it's all this socal media etc, where you get to know about everyone and everything, and half of it is bullshit.  I suspect a lot of them were lost when the BBC used to over write tapes for space.

there's a very brief interview with Dick Emery, for me another brilliant performer. it's just a shame the full interview isn't avbailable, as he's so funny

zico, you must have seen this one? It's great

I’ve been rewatching Rescue Me, the firefighter drama comedy set just after 9/11. It’s very funny, definitely made for blokes and arguably Denis Leary’s best work .

Started season 3 of Blue Lights, thought seasons 1 and 2 where good but this is next level so far!

Say what you want about the BBC, yes, the news coverage is lefty and woke bollocks at times but fuck me they can still make an excellent and griping Police drama!

Superb stuff this....

Two excellent series, gutted there won't be a third.

New Tulsa King is out and the 2nd series of Landman is out next month

Also, terminal list is very good as well.

I live in ireland and couldnt get into 'Kin' at all when it was on tv here, and it wasnt overly popular. love/hate is another irish gang drama if you are interested and much better imo. Aiden Gillen is in both.

Finished the series yesterday. Very, very good.

If you've seen neither series, I would still suggest watching Dark Wolf first despite being the 'newer' series.
Indeed sound advice. I'm hoping what happened and suspect what happend at the end of season 1 didn't happen. Cryptic I know but no spoilers. Hence we have a season 3.

Council Scum" wrote: 23 Sep 2025, 10:24 Stared Black Rabbit, was enjoyable for a couple of episodes, till it fell down the hole, that all Whiteman are fucking sleazes, rapists, losers, druggies, women beaters and murderers

All gays, blacks, women and lesbians are amazing.

Fuck off.
I was going to start that as well but seems you have put me off.

Alien Earth - after starting so well as become an absolute bore fest. I won't pursue it.

The Terminal List DW- Probably the best thing on at the moment.

Disclaimer - Well a great cast and great acting. Leila George...grrrrr.and a nice twist ending. There's a lot of faults in the story but Kevin Kline  and Cate Blanchette's acting is suberb. Also created by Alfonso Cuarón. I recommend you watch.

Only Murders - Light hearted fun as usual.
