"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

As I always say about the New York team’s. You can stink. Just as long as it isn’t as bad as the other guy.! Now you’re mob have ran up the white flag. That gives them a free pass at it going forward. No such joy this side of East Rutherford.! Honestly. Mara must be on the blower to Sullivan every other hour.? “Hi Dave. How can I. And my offspring fuck up this club anymore?. Because we don’t have too worry about relegation type nonsense. So we can pissoff the fanbase as much as we want.!”

Anyway.

Realistically, can only see us winning two more games, at the most, this season.

The victory over the Browns was coming off a bye week, so fresh legs against a poor side. Now we go into games against the Patsies (x2), Ravens, Bills etc for most of the remainder of the season. We've got two winnable-looking games - against the Fish and the Saints.

So we're looking at 4-13 and, possibly, 3-14 to set the low bar for an early draft pick. One of about 14,000 first and second rounders that we now hold. And will probably waste.

There's always a win against the Browns to remind you that the Jets are only as bad as those clusterfucks.

Great performance by Will McDonald - 4 sacks.

I've luckily missed a few of the games this season, I've no doubt we're the worst team at the current time in the whole league. We're now in a dilemma where Quinn will be trying to win games to keep his job, while we'd be better off continuing to tank

No one. Had that on their Bingo Card. (Someone cleaned up.?) Pats are going to walk that division this year.

Bears given an easy win.  Gaboll gone. And Dart now injured. Every Fucker is just rubbernecking.! Mara do the humane thing and put the coaching stuff in concrete boots and throw the fuckers into the Hudson. Now it's a race for the Top Pick next spring.

The Dallas Cowboys player Marshawn Kneeland has died aged 24.  In his final game on Monday night, he scored his first career touchdown in the Cowboys’ 27-17 defeat against the Arizona Cardinals.

"On November 6, the Texas Department of Public Safety announced that Kneeland was involved in a police chase the night before, however the chase was terminated after losing sight of Kneeland's car. The vehicle was later found abandoned after being involved in a crash. Kneeland was found in the immediate area of the accident with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His death remains under investigation."

Hall is an excellent running back. But he’s been easier to block while we have a QB who takes too long to make his reads and throw the ball. Defenses just step forward a meter and block up the inside lines to stop the run. Because Fields can’t get past his first receiving option. So we’ve over-used our runners.

They’re good (Hall and Allen etc), though. Kansas offering only a 4th round pick for him was taking the piss. I’m glad we told them to fuck off. Even our stupid leadership aren’t THAT stupid.

The serious point is that too many NFL fans - especially Jets fans - get over-excited at the thought of having multiple first-round picks.

It's just not compensation for losing really good players. Invariably, if even a good NFL side has five 1st rounders, they will waste a couple of them on over-rated, over-scouted rookies. It's just the way of it. One might be good and two might be great.

But we had two great players on the squad just yesterday. So what will we have gained, really?

The "jam tomorrow" "rebuild" is what snake oil salesmen hide behind when they have no idea what they're doing. (Or, in this case, Johnson & Johnson baby oil salesmen).

Can't believe how passive Jets fans have been about yesterday's ridiculous trades. And the Jets have one of the more active, critical fan bases.

Two massive cock-ups that ensure the franchise won't be competitive until 2028 at the earliest (when the stockpile of rookie draft picks runs out). It was like selling Rice, Bowen and Paqueta on the same day - and then trying to tell everybody it's for the common good.

Basically, if that was West Ham, we would have been hurling coins and drinks at the board etc.

Goes to show how US sport is far less visceral and interventionist. And how the Jets have just been run into the ground by Woody Johnson. Even angry Italians from New Jersey have given up.

The "jam tomorrow" "rebuild" is the easiest thing in the world to promise in sport. And it almost never works. Doing the hard yards, building your team slowly, appointing the right coaches, having the right blend of rookies, experience and veterans...that's how you win in the NFL. Not the "rip it up and start again" bollocks that the Jets have been doing every couple of years since 1999.

I'm still fuming.

Honestly, TM, I think Johnson should be investigated by the NFL at this stage. It looks to an outsider that he’s not even trying to make them competitive.

This is clearly a tank, by a team that was already really shit.  We’re well past the stage of wondering about that. Somebody needs to look into why he has chosen to make them even more uncompetitive at this stage.

Seriously, they’ve become an embarrassment to the league - and sport. Easily the most embarrassing team in a major sport.

Strong rumours - from Adam Schefter - that we're now trading three-time pro-bowler Quinnen Williams to the fucking Cowgirls! Apart from Garrett Wilson, he's our best player!

What the merry fuck are Johnson, Mougey and Glenn doing?

This is obviously a tank. But they're ripping apart the few bits of the squad that are decent. We're going to have absolutely nothing left if they do this - except a billion draft picks that we'll fucking waste.

At a guess, this is Johnson going for yet another "jam tomorrow" rebuild - that never, ever work under him. And it's Mougey and Glenn ensuring they get a second year by blowing up the squad so that they can say "we're rebuilding".

At some point, you've got to put good players on the field. I'm a bit speechless, really. If this happens on the back of the Sauce deal, it's insane. It's like Nuno selling Paqueta, Bowen and Freddie Potts in January.
By my reckoning, we now have FIVE first round picks in 2026 and 2027 - and three second rounders.

That's all well and good. But at some point, you have to put good, established players on the field. We now just have Garrett Wilson - and he'll probably want to leave now that his mate Sauce has gone.
