Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
The Kilman to Palace story has reared it's head again. If they offered a reasonable deal today, what would you do?
Rid us of the albatross but still leave us way short at the back and risk an inexplicable upturn of form from the player as he helps Palace pull away from danger possibly at our expense, or be stuck with him on crippling wages potentially for the next five years?
On the other hand of course he could continue his shocking form and give Palace even more problems.

I'm actually O.K with Disasi signing...He looked O.K for Chelsea until Maresca kept chopping and changing on a whim. I'm not expecting a world beater but he does have a bit of a presence and bite to his game. He is most probably pals with Magassa from when they were at Monaco so that might get something going too.

Well according to the WHO quacks he hasn't been playing so therefore not (match) fit to play.

I think so too. I think he and Todibo will end up being the partnership when the latter is back from suspension and youd hope as fellow Frenchmen they might be able to strike up a rapport and decent partnership. He will be serviceable and a little wake up call as to actually how bad our defenders aside from Todibo are. Better than Kilman unquestionably. Plus a player with hopefully a point to prove.

He'll go straight in for Burnley, surely?
Can't have Kilman starting games.

Manuel it does seem to take some players a run of games to get fully match fit and acclimatised to their new team ( esp one that concedes bucket loads of goals). Training etc a player wont put in that gut busting effort that a proper competitive match does. But lets hope this geezer is one of thowe super athletes, naturally fit and hits the ground running. Is he as quick as Todibo?

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Given the way we collapsed when Pablo was knackered do we need another forward to run around a bit?
I feel like we should always be playing 2 up top. We just can’t see out games very well without a constant press at the front.
Will they try to get someone else in?

I'll stick me neck out and say I think Disasi will be a decent signing. Don't buy into this not being ready mantra either. Is JWP ready for Burnley?

palace signing Strand Larsen. Should get them the goals to keep them out of any trouble.
Strand Larsen only scores against us doesn't he? Massive fee for a guy that doens't look like scoring goals.

This Disaster bloke cost Chelsea £37 million from Monaco didnt he? Must have had something they liked or they just overpaid like we did for Kilman?
Still need central midfield strengthening. Ideally with attacking or ball carrying abilities but seeing as Nuno no longer rates Potts or Magassa we need a another defensive midfielder too. From playing Potts and Magassa every game to unused subs.
Spoke to my Villa supporting mate about Disasi:
"He was decent cover. I didn’t shit myself with him like Axel Tuanzebe".
Given our actual quality at CB...he probably ends up being our best defender:

What time will that arselicker Whetstone do a tweet along the lines of
'West Ham have been offered a few players today but the manager doesn't feel like they are better than what we have or the price demands are deemed unreasonable. We can still sign free agents after the deadline which is what we are exploring'

I don't have a problem with making a profit per se, but only if you're not left inadequately staffed.
when you are in the bottom 3, turning a profit and making the squad thinner is not the actions of a owner that has every intention and effort in trying to stay in this league.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Latest is they expect to sign a CB, likely a Keeper since Hermansen wants to move, and are considering a midfielder.
There is some budget for 'the right defender' and are looking at loans.
Biggest problem is teams want obligations, and we only want options...understandable on both sides (and apparently what killed the deal for Natan from Betis).

I suspect a CB will come in today, probably Disasi.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Surely a centre back should of been the priority from the start of this window baring in mind the lack of form of Kilman and co throughout the season.
Instead of that we sign the incredible Hulk to play in Bowens position and two forwards who don't know where the back of the net is.
Incompetence beyond belief and not for the first time
An inability to sign a centre forward to cover for a struggling Antonio a few years back possibly cost us a European trophy and the champions league place that went with it.
We thought we had a deal done was the cry from Moyes at the time and as Newcastle splashed the cash we refused to for Chris Wood.
It's always the one that got away with Sullivan and co.

I dont care who it is as long as they have two legs and are classed as a centre half, they have to be here by tomorrow. Harwood bellis, anyone will do.
