Whetstone says via his puppet master that we’re not going to sign a top centre-half because we could quite conceivably be relegated. However, the language being used is a slight-of-hand trick by El Midgeto because we don’t need a top centre-half, we need a good enough centre-half that is better than what we have. 

A loan with a reasonable fee for someone like Charlie Cresswell with a promise of a of buying him if we survive, but the half-pint porn baron has no intention of forking out because he thinks relegation is a shoe in.

I guess it's unfortunate we've not been given that choice and that we have zero chance of signing either of them. Otherwise, good post!

I agree on both counts. Dunk has experience, a body of work behind him and has been a leader for years. Cresswell working under someone like Lewis Dunk would improve his game and play a significant role in keeping us up.

Yep, Sullivan has for 16 years been the root cause of all our problems.  Him and Gold getting ownership of the club was the worst possible thing that has occured in our 126 year history. He continues, due to his psychological disorder ( small man syndrome / narcissism ) to drive deeper into the abyss. 

All his energies focused on deflecting blame. A pathological liar. Classic traits of a narcissist.

He’s ruined the club and is now taking us down again. What with his dreadful ownership of Birmingham. Their fans despise him with a passion and their warnings of what would happen and how we woukd be lied to have been realised.   

16 years, the words “back where we belong” in context of how he has run the business that is West Ham, ring true.  100s of millions wasted, we return yo tye championship but now with no fixed assets and an organisational infrastructure that is not “fit for purpose” which includes a first team squad of 14 or 15 senior pros. 

16 years = abject failure and this man still spinning his propaganda.   We got to increase the pressure on him.  No more BS !!!

Jesse Lingard being spotted keeping fit in Essex is definitely making me think he’s going to be our Paqueta replacement considering Sullivan’s mouthpieces are saying we’re not getting a replacement or a new CB because no one wants to join us.

 “No top player is going into a club who have every chance of being relegated. It just doesn’t happen. Plus, the club cannot go and spend £40 million on a player that might be in the Championship.“On top of that, any player that comes in has to take a 50% drop in wages if West Ham are relegated. No player who is any good will do that. If there is a chance for a loan signing, then they will do it, but they have to be realistic as to who would be available on loan. Centre half is the main priority, but again they face the same problems”

Again, had weeks to strengthen the squad and add depth in positions and we are actually looking like we will have less players to choose from than Jan 1st. So demoralising. 

Top transfer source = David Sullivan. The excuses start pouring out as to why he's failed to sign anyone for his manager again. He's already blamed Nuno now it's everyone else's fault but his. Wilfully omitting he's the one that's got us to this position all by himself with some help from his baroness sidekick.

At a guess maybe around 18 mil. Fella must have more money than the pope, he was on circa 200k a week at Man City for a few years, prior to that big money at Liverpool.

He had a long history of frequent injury problems which limited his appearances including a very serious knee injury. He will be 30 this year and doesn't have anywhere near the number of matches under his belt that you would expect a goalkeeper of that age to have. Less than 200. Did well at Botofogo for about 18 months but always a back-up until he was nearly 28 years old.

Like I said bullet dodged.

Over the years our club seems to be a willing and very easy target for the sort of thing where players have fundamental physical issues - it was known when the diminutive one almost got this over the line last summer.
