The solution to illegal immigrants is unfeasibly straight-forward: get them out of the UK before their feet can touch the ground.

Where to? Well, there was a plan to do just that but some couldn't stomach playing God (Most likely they sneered at the suggested destination as being a 3rd world country).

Other than that, how about a repurposed ex-cruise liner? Got all the infrastructure needed for days at sea - just keep it far enough out at sea to deter attempts at stealing the lifeboats and making for Benefitstan.

Fraud: the state/authorities already have the ability to cross-reference data and stamp out fraud, but once they introduce such a policy and enforce it professionally, it will result in an awful lot of civil servants looking for a new job.

Well I've heard some people move to places like Thailand and don't inform the DWP so illegally get the annual rises of their state pensions and even still claim others benefits or abuse the use of blue badges by giving them to non raspberries and therefore fear the indoctrination of things like ID

I personally think the ID cards are a must against illegals and fraud 
I've also no problem with cctv everywhere or checks on people who travel abroad alot especially if on benefits
