soucek has been much better but was at hia woeful worst today.  Magassa good engine but no product, bowen not goos today either.

However, mavropanos is a different player now that fist kilman is nowhere near him.

Passing was appalling, quite cowardly a lot of the time

They were all having a go at giving it away, Soucek unsurprisingly being the worst culprit. He was piss poor tonight trying to force the issue too much. When he deserves the plaudits for his MotM performance against Man Utd, he also deserves stick for a shit performance tonight.

Too many underperforming tonight when we needed them.  Bowen in particular who had his worst game of the season.  Summerville not in the game enough. Fernandes too deep.   Soucek one of those games where you wonder how he’s a pro footballer.
It was like we were so desperate for the clean sheet that we were passive when 3 points were vital tonight.

there’s a case for bringing him on to sit in front of the defence and protect a lead but that’s it.

Wow, he has been running his socks off and had a great game tbf

Not doubting his engine or effort and that’s why I think there’s a place for him if we’re trying to hold on at the end. He offers nothing with the ball at his feet though.

The main issue though was that he took the place of a second striker which is what we desperately needed

I really thought he would go 5 at the back today. Some big calls being made at last. Mavvers and Dizzy keeping Todibo out. Kilman is so gone, he's nowhere near the first 11 now, and herman is No1. Lucas who? Its like night and day from 6 weeks ago. And no sign of adama the walking arse.

Has to be paco.

Where did I say we were shit? I said it was a missed opportunity because they were their for the taking with Iraola being in the stands and we set up with the wrong Team from the start with a Striker that hurt them badly earlier in the season in the 1st half in that game. 0-0 Full Time of no surprise failing to score ourselves.

It was the right call

The right call and yet we only managed a draw failing to score in a game many had before it began as a must win. 😂
Yes the right call, maybe nobody told the in form unbeaten in 6 Bournemouth that it was, a must lose for them and if we played Wilson that they weren't allowed to run through a midfield thst would contain Fernandes and Soucek who was anonymous today and instead allowed us the ball to freely pass to Wilson so he could score, I'm not sure they got the memo.

That does sound like some chatGPT shit to be honest lol.

"no decent fluid moves" like wtf were you watching?

I mean crisp passing moves. As I said might have been the conditions or nerves but we were sloppy in the pass and our chances ended up being scrappy.

it’s not a difficult concept to understand is it.

No wonder why we don’t get any new posters on here, it really isn’t worth posting.

I think we had 2 or 3 good moves, right at the beginning Tatty did a flick and then did a great cross that Summerville couldn't finish. There were a few of these. I didnt think we were sloppy, especially against the 3rd best side in the league on form. They haven't lost in 7 games or so. So, it's ut not that I'm having a go (well sort of lol) but just curious how you had that opinion.

And everyone can have an opinion even if I dont agree. Thats fine!

Yes! They were off their game not their usual self failing to even score like they do freely for while now. It was very clear they were off it tonight and it's no coincidence with him in the stand.

It was the right call we needed the extra legs, Soucek and Fernandes against their midfield we lose. We stopped them scoring by having the extra player not because Iraola was in the stands he was still coaching them ffs you're fucking mental if you actually believe a well coached team aren't going to be able to play because their coach is further away than normal...

Bowen despite the rest was absolute shit and sadly when he has an off day we are always going to struggle.

Looks like we just haven’t got enough about us  to stay up. Wasted too many chances to beat the lesser teams and pissing away points too often.

Bournemouth clearly respected our attacking ability and kept it very tight, not over committing their defenders etc. And we are just not cutting edge enough for the opportunities we create. We had 20 shots vs their 10, so no one can say we didn't go for it.

The plus side is that we are still unbeaten, which builds a certain type of character that we need. Clean sheets are good habits,

Strangely enough, I think we will get more out of teams like Liverpool etc, who won't sit back and will need to go for wins as they expect Europe.

I think form matters. The thing we can hold on to is that some of the teams above us dont have anything like the form we are in (Spurs etc..). So we're not done by any means. Hopefully if we are 2 points behind by Sunday night with 11 games to go we can do this.

Totally agree with this. It's assumed because "It's Bournemouth" we should roll them if we try hard but they're a good, cuntish side on absolute top form, and we had a night where it just wouldn't fall for us....we had the moments and on a another day it would have done.

Have to accept it's a good point won...and we have to go beat a team like Villa I stead who look like they're starting to drift.

The games are still there for us to win , we've matched or bettered the two form teams in the league in the last two, are on a good run and don't look like a relegation candidate side. Just have to hold the line and cross our fingers.

Needed a win today with our upcoming fixtures.

Hopefully we can pull a rabbit out of the hat at Liverpool but that is a big ask, we’ll see.

Starting to run out of games, Looks like it’s us, Spurs, Forest or Leeds. Palace possibly but it looks like we don’t have the wins in us to pass them even if they do fall apart.

Not over yet but we can’t keep treading water… Gotta get some wins now. Time to go all out.

Has it not occurred to you that the reason they weren't on it and in your opinion there for the taking was because we stifled them and if we didn't they may have scored and not been there for the taking... And if we had less legs in midfield with an extra attacker we would have lost seeing as we had trouble containing their midfield without the extra legs, it isn't black and white like that..

Soucek needed to be subbed earlier in hindsight and we really dont have any attacking midfielders who play centrally ( squad likitations ). Might be a case for sticking Magassa in the Soucek / no 10 role with Potts or Kante in the deeper role? I know he aint exactly blessed with greating shooting technique but when running at speed he’s a handful.  We aint really got a standout U21 for the number 10 role unless thats Earthy?
