CS, I couldn't give a fuck about who it was originally based on but there again I don't actively look for reasons to get the hump about that sort of thing.

As for Steven Graham being 'Jamaican now' you do realise he's one of the best actors we've got, don't you? In fact if I come across a film or tv show I've not heard about and he's in it I'll give it a go because I at least know he'll be great at the very least.

Still, stay angry and disappointed, it looks good on you.

I really liked Sugar on Apple TV with Colin Farrel,l LA detective series with a spin.  It’s a pity they never did another series.

They have, series 2 confirmed.

Stars Sean Lock.
Yes, i loved it but you probably have to be a fan of Sean's dry/deadpan delivery 🙂. A channel on YT called ChorltonBrook have all twelve episodes uploaded
Being a rabid  Chelsea cսnt , always gave him a swerve.
I ll give it a bash

No smoke without fire, Alfs! Best to label him a bummer of boys to play it safe.
Indeed.

I have been catching up on earlier shows that I had missed recently.

The other one I am enjoying is Undercover on Netlfix, a Dutch/Belgium show.  It may take a couple of episodes but I am hooked on it now. Not the run of the mill police/drugs prodecure, I would definately would recommend.
Luckily there are 3 seasons and I bet it gets remade in the US or here.

It was based on a black muslim lad (now denied after all the media coverage by the writer) but yeah, its all cool, as Stephen Graham is Jamaican now and suffered racial abuse as a kid.

... and 'Mobland' on the way, a Guy Ritchie turnout with Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren and Tom Hardy.
Watched the first episode of Mobland last night, great actors though a bit underwhelming imo, could be miles better, work in progress.

billy - agree re Spacey. Excellent actor. Rewatched American Beauty last weekend funnily enough.
Talking about being very late in watching stuff, I might be even later than you, as I’ve just finished Season 1 of 24!

Don't know if you've seen it, but he was also very good in Swimming With Sharks.
Highly recommended.

Not seen that film MMG but will look it up. Cheers

Will have a look at 'Mobland' and 'This city is ours' over the next week or so.

Very very late on this one but am loving House of Cards. Kevin Spacey is a superb actor and he and his (screen) Mrs really do play their parts fantastically well.

That is late. I found the first 3, maybe 4, seasons were superb, then it lost it's way imo. Agree that Spacey is a great actor.

I never knew that professional football started up North, mainly Lancashire, and that the FA along with the rules were founded by the elite amateurs from London & the Home counties.

Not a documentary, well worth a watch!

Did they not push the recent emerging narrative it was invented in Scotland? That will piss them off. Good.

The first professional players were Scots bought down to Lancashire to play for Darwen FC.
Maybe that's what they meant.

Adolescence was excellent.
Was shot like a horror movie the way the camera followed the characters  tension all the way through from start to finish.

The final scene is harrowing, was still thinking about it the next morning. Not ashamed to say it brought tears to my eyes, moreso the next morning.
I have a young son so it resonated with me.

The scariest thing is im hearing that they've commissioned at least another 3 seasons which means we aint getting any answers anytime soon

I may be wrong mate, but I think they've renewed for a third series rather than three more series.
