If that's true, that's sensational dough for what has become an ineffective player who wants to fuck off.

40m fee agreed for Paqueta!
That's a lot of money considering there's only one club he wants to go to and how shit he is...
Agree, it's good money for him. Looks like Sullivan dug in and got what he wanted.

I'm fairly pleased with our outgoings this month, just a shame there was no truth in Palace wanting Kilman upon Guehi leaving, no shock there!

Surely this is what we're all thinking? Hope I'm wrong, but it feels inevitable. I think we've spent the Paqueta money already. He will go right at the end of the window, to recoup much of that cash.

We do need to replace Guido but that's brought Ward Prowse back into the fold.   However we still have Magassa, Potts and Soucek competing for a place.  I still rate Magassa despite him having a couple of off games, he had been playing well before that, particularly at Old Trafford.

Traore is done.
Need a CB more than another midfielder, can't see us buying 2 more so would rather the CB.
Midfield is better covered even without Paqueta if JWP is now staying as part of the squad.
We have him, Magassa, Potts and Kante as cover.
The lack of leadership at the back, clean sheets and amount of goals we've conceded from set pieces and headers highlight where the priority lies.

He has is an athlete who can be a distraction for the opposition at best. He is like a quicker Antonio but shorn of the goals and assists.
Assuming he comes in, and I think it will go through, I wouldn't be shocked if after a few games he gets a start, Nuno clearly likes him and he can also play through the middle. Like everyone else he'll be competing for a starting birth.

So if he starts where does Bowen play? If he comes on as sub where does Bowen move to if Tatty or Wilson is playing central?

Feels like limited time for Bowen if Traore comes in. Which is pretty unusual.
Unless Bowen can play no.10 or left wing (just haven't seen him do that).
That's what I meant by options like if Bowen gets injured or needs a rest

I dont actually mind him when I have seen him play, but that was a while ago. It's a bit worrying that he hasn't had a look in at Fulham and I'm not sure why?

Also for a player who came through the Barca academy I dont understand why his control and finishing is so poor (or is that just a myth?)

Hoping and praying Nuno doesn't fall into that trap like others before him.
Don’t worry. I think there’s no danger of JWP playing again. I just can’t see it. He’ll use Kante or others first.

Ok, that makes more sense. As I've rarely seen Bowen get subbed for us.
