"Yeah, Smith looks an excellent prospect doesn't he? Physically speaking, you would think he'd get dominated by aggressive corners and safeties. But his elusiveness is top-notch and he has excellent hands. Also reads situations well, so he's always able to get open that half-yard before his coverage shuts him down. Good player. The Jets might take him with pick #2, although I think it's more likely we'll take either Sewell - who is the best lineman in the draft and a nailed-on starter - or a QB if the franchise decides to move on from Darnold. It's good to have the options, though. Of all the players in this year's draft, Sewell looks the most 'NFL ready'. Even more than Lawrence. He plays in an unglamorous position, so the Jets' notoriously rowdy fans at the draft (should it go ahead in public) will be dismissive. But he's a man-mountain at tackle and already good enough to start left or right side. Street smart guy, too, which I like. This devonta snith is incredible! 215 yards and 3tds at halftime! (He's a receiver btw) Should be a top 5 pick in the draft although he may be slightly undersized for the NFL.

"Scorch, Yep, one of the best QB draft classes since the famous '83 list. Matt Schaub was drafted that year, too, and he had a decent career. The only real dud was JP Losman, who went to the Bills in the first round and disappointed. Good scouting that year. After the big three came off the board, and Schaub mysteriously dropped to the 3rd round for the Falcons, most scouts/GMs called it right by backing away from the rest of the class. I think Luke McCown got drafted in one of the later rounds - and he had a career as a solid back-up (but nothing more than that). I don't know how true this is, but I read one take on the 2004 draft which said that the league's QBs scouts had been put on high alert after 2003, when Romo went undrafted. Apparently, it focused minds on proper analysis - although I'm not sure how much I believe that impacted the 2004 draft, because it took a couple of years for Romo to really come through in Dallas. Damn good first rounders, though."
