US Politics Thread

Seems like the main politics thread is becoming a Yankee-Doodle Trump-fest, so maybe scope here to split them out.
Will see if this one gains any traction ..if it does will move over a few of the million posts from our two protagonists from the other thread.
Yee-haaa!

I’m currently reading an account of the Eastern Front of WW1.
The ordinary troops and non combatants were slaughtered in 100s of thousands. Austro-Hungarians had 700,000 casualties in the first three months of 1915.
The alternative would be to take out the leaders.
This seems to be the policy of Israel and the USA.
If you’re a cսnt we’re coming for you.

Israel showing once again that it doesn't give a shit about collateral damage and is quite happy to kill innocent civilians.
do you not think that October 7th was the catalyst that sparked the retaliation?... Iran was central to it all.
let's forget all the decades of terror from not only from Iran but from their proxies Hamas, Hezbollah & the Houthi's that said, let's blame Israel for the years of unrest in the region.

I reckon George bush thought the same thing.
That Berks involvement in the middle east doesn't come close to how Trump has managed it.
Trumps involvement in the middle east:
Whilst Israel were obliterating Gaza, dropping bombs on schools and hospitals and preventing anyone from receiving any kind of aid, Trump was presenting his plans for the Riviera of the East which would be built on the blood of millions of Palestinians.
That was just the stats...

I personally didn't and many like me agreed at the time. What was it, an estimated million or so that marched in London. The difference with that and Iran is not only their 50 year war waged on the western world and in the middle east by terrorist proxy but also they didn't ramp up nuclear capability to over 60% for no other reason than to use it as a weapon, they only need 3% enrichment for domestic energy use only. That shit back in Iraq under Hussain was clearly (to me) sexed up to fuck back then to justify that campaign.
Everything was clear long after the invasion had started.
Everyone thought removing the taliban was the right thing to do at the time as well.
The US intelligence suggested last year that Iran had been set back decades in their quest for nuclear weapons. Did they lie?
If it’s about nuclear capability then why aren’t they bombing North Korea?
History won’t be judging these actions on what happens today, it’s the next month and what follows on.
North Korea wouldn't dare use a nuke as it would be the finish of them
The mad mullahs of Iran would use a nuke as their thinking is completely different and welcome death with 72 virgins waiting for each nutter
They have openly said they would destroy Israel
Going on any Free Palestinian marches goosestep?
If anyone uses a nuke it will be the end of all of us.
North Korea threatened to turn Seoul into a sea of fire, how’s that different?

No they haven’t.
So who did it, US or Israel?
Given the location (near a navy base) and Rubio’s response it’s one of those two.
So no one knows yet then I suppose is the right response to it.

Rubio is telling a very different story to Trump as to why they decided to strike Iran.
He was also asked about the school he said they “will be investigating”.

I think I’ll chose to believe the UN.
”The UN education agency, UNESCO, says that the bombing of a primary school during the US and Israeli military attacks on Iran on Saturday constitutes a grave violation of humanitarian law.”

1 Regime at a time ya war hawk!

Although Trump does have an excellent relationship with Jong-Un so we await what happens with that.
And Iran chose to continue on with their nuclear enrichment program ambitions after last June refusing to play ball with the Regime making it clear they wish to attack America.
As for smashing Irans forces being wiped off the map so far in under 3 days alongside the IDF:
- 48 top Commanders killed including Top cսnt Khamenei
- 10 Navy Ships
- Military Headquarters
- Over 1200 targetted sites
- Hezzbollah top intelligence Official and key sites in Lebanon
Well ahead of schedule not expecting to be that successful although under Trump they do have previous for successful missions involving Midnight Hammer and taking out Irans Major Gen
Soleimani back in 2020 all.
Keep up the great work.
Don't forget the school they blew to bits as well.

The hardest hits on Iran are yet to come and we will achieve our objective.
One thing with Trump if he goes in he makes sure he achieves his objective.

Marco Rubio just said that Irans leadership were a threat to civilization they did not rule by Geo political theory they governed by an apocalyptic theology.
Nobody can argue with that and nobody can say that is not an imminent threat.

Like I said, i seem to remember everyone being thrilled that Iraq's leadership had been smashed or that the Taliban had retreated to the hills. It is far too early to judge how history will view this.

The bloke's judgement and decisiveness in foreign military policy is outstanding. Not just for the sake of his own Country but also for the sake of the wider world. This is where he is most impressive. The history books on that score will judge him extremely favourably over the course of his two terms. The World will be in a much safer place once he's finished his 2nd term for years to come.
