Sadly, this is not true.  Our current predicament would, in some ways, be more tolerable if it were the case.  Over the last 10 years, we've been the 7th highest spenders in the Premier League.  The issue isn't one of not investing in the club.  It is the failure to invest wisely that is criminal.

I'll leave that there to stew over.
Irrespective of his ability, he’d never consider coming to West Ham again after Brady leaked details of his talks with us (on a previous occasion) to the press. For all his faults, O’Neill is a dignified man, and he thought our board acted atrociously at the time.

That's a bloody good point that about Brady fucking that deal up. Ok next!

Even if we somehow scrape our way out of trouble this season, 2026-27 will be run in just the same way.

It was the stupid set up against Brentford and Leeds with the inverted full backs that still rankles with me. If it wasn't for that we could easily be 3-4 points better off. Parking the bus would've been better than that drivel which clearly wasn't going to work out from the off. I didn't get it at all.

Those are certainly the matches which have cost us up until this point and quite possibly when the season is done.

You’ve got to remember that Lopetegui, Potter and Nuno (and others before them) are ultimately Sullivan’s choices. They are cheap, unemployed managers who - unsurprisingly - do cheap, ineffective jobs.

Everything about this club under Sullivan’s stewardship is two bob shite. And look at the fucking state of the team it delivers.

Said it before the season started and will say it again: this is a relegation squad.

Unless we have a very canny, effective transfer window, we will go down.

This squad and these performances are the end product of the abysmal stewardship of this club for many years now. There’s almost too much attention paid to the succession of shite managers we’ve had.

The problem is at the very top down. I sound like a scratched record, sorry: but poor and cheap owners, appoint poor and cheap managers, who buy poor players, who play poor football.

We are in a football death loop. It only ends with Sullivan, and the other ineffective fools on the board, leaving the club.

Sir ALF
"Nuno has lost to Arsenal, Pool, Villa and City since making changes in midfield that definitely improved us.  We dont look vulnerable at set pieces either which was costing us agsinst every team."
Lost to all of them meekly.
That improvement in midfield you say was after he completely screwed up the midfield itself,so hardly a pat on the back.Look at the lame efforts in most games.  No where near our competitors.1 decent game against an awful away team in Newcastle. He's gone so far backwards it's like it should be summer again.
He's had 2 spells of 2 weeks to work with most of the players, that's a pre-season. Most pre-seasons have players absent who were on international duty thus delaying their return.

Nuno enterily to blame for this run of results.
Look how Leeds have be reinvigorated since the out played City and were unlucky to lose. That has changed their season.unbeaten in December with +5 goal difference, they are scoring for fun. But it's their desire and never give up attitude, let's not forget the noise of Elland Rd.
Nuno the one that makes these awful subs. He leaves only defensive players on the bench.Forget about BnS this all down to Nuno.He was PL manager and had only just played us.I would love to know his thoughts on how to beat us,what plan he had in mind for our weaknesses. How he thought our strengths were. All this has been forgotten.
Diouf has steadily played worse under Nuno, under Potter 2 assists,Nuno zero. What's he instructing him to do,he scores for Senegal when he's away. Watch him go and do the same.Paqueta is worse under Nuno too despite him lavishing unmerited praise.
You see the common denomintaor.
Nuno has to go he's making players worse not better.

Nuno has lost to Arsenal, Pool, Villa and City since making changes in midfield that definitely improved us.  We dont look vulnerable at set pieces either which was costing us agsinst every team. So overall some improvements but laced still with questionable starting selections like Kilman yesterday and Guido the other week. Wilson sub timing another questionable thing.  Tactics are low block, try to keep them out and counter away. Its home he has real issues. Squad options more than him.

Look I didnt want him, dont like his football much but there is no alternative and imo he is better than Loppy, Potter and even last 18 months of Moyes. A low bar admittedly. In “grass is always greener” itlooks like Dyche was the better optionbutI contend hehas more and better options in the Forest squad by far.

Opinions as always.   Nuno goes and who will Sullivan get?  Carrick, O’Neill? It wont be Alonso.  Many used to want Thomas Frank. He might be available end of season.  Who comes in now and gives us an asdirance if improving results enough with the squad we have.

I will write Nuno off completely once we have played Brighton, Fulham, Forest etc in the next 6 games and we  dont win more than 2. It still probably wint he enough even if we do but thats when we see if improvements I think Im seeing ate worth anything.

Yhe Jan windiw many are relying on will be too late and who in their right mind believes Sullivan and Brady will deliver players to transform our results

In short, Nuno is a factor but not the main one by far and talking about changing him with the idea that someone will ge hired to transform our season is sadly little more than wishful thinking.

I don't think anyone would have a problem if we started with that intent or at least showed 50% of it when we've led in games
It seems you are finally starting to wake up and realise that the bus parking Portuguese clown currently in the dug out is a complete joke of a manager.

Sullivan hired yet another loser who has never won anything in his top flight managerial career and was sacked from his last two Premier League jobs. The fat Greek Forest owner sussed this fraud out completely.

Said loser has made us WORSE and has a worse record than under the previous two clowns. Some going that.

The players are good enough they just showed that against the form team in the league, Villa.

It's the gutless loon in the dug out who's fucking it all up.

Thiago Motta is available.

Not all of it, geez. You're letting him off the hook. No one denies that the players take a lot of the blame as does Sullivan but how he has managed the situation up till now is very poor. 16% win ratio after 12 games says it all.

It won’t be anyone decent because Sullivan famously said he’ll never pay another cub off to buy a decent manager. It would be back to the list of out of work journeymen who have been sacked for the reason that they have failed at other clubs and will bring that same mindset here. That and failing to recognize basic things like succession planning; what style the prospective manager likes to employ and do we have a squad adaptable to it and are we willing to invest to meet the vision of that manager  a sequence of Poor uninformed choices is why we are where we are and clubs like Villa, who were in our situation not so long ago, are flying high.
Like ships in the night.
We could and should have relegated Aston fookin Villa .
Its nothing new though...the club just thrive on mediocre..it's ingrained .

We are DEEP in the shit.

Effectively two wins adrift of Forest and three games adrift of Leeds. Already.

We need at least four points off Fulham and Brighton before the window opens.
