Predicted LineUp:

Away at Arsenal...we've won the last two encounters...so are due a shellacking.  They've strengthened notably this season, as well as being on form.  That said, we'll clearly play on the counter and expect out line up to largely be the same as for Everton.

Totally gutless fucking surrender.

Surrender?  I guess we could "go for it" with our prolific attack and get smashed 5 or 6. We're just shit let's face it.

I'd settle for attempting to press north of the halfway line before we're 2 down.

GUTLESS FUCKING SURRENDER.
Completely agree with this, that was Gutless fucking surrender!

Well you'r not going to get the points to climb the table if you voluntarily spend 95% of the game with 9 outfield players in your 6 yard box.

GUTLESS FUCKING SURRENDER TACTICS.

One Positive is we didnt concede via a set piece and CBs looked ok. We just couldnt match them in midfield to get possession and had no outlet going forward at all.

They have a far stronger squad and more quality and imo will win the title. The result was about right even if their pen was very soft.

We need a goalscorer other than Bowen. We still need another central midfielder but reality is our squad has 2 1 maybe 2 players at most that would start in their team.

The real problem we have is our owner.

Maybe I've misunderstood the law, but I have always known it to be that the foul is where contact begins. Not where it ends or continues and also not open to interpretation. Otherwise, you encourage players to flail into the box, not that Arsenal need any encouragement.

I think they recently changed it where if it continues inside the box it can be given. If that is the case it's bollocks as it should always be where the 1st initial contact is made. Cunts keep messing with the game.

That was pretty dismal, but I don’t blame Nuno for setting us up like that. I would have hoped for better performances from our midfield and attack. Too many mediocre performances.

People need to get a grip
was a rubbish performance yes, but we’re 19th and they’re currently first
we didn’t get thrashed and one of the goals was dodgy as fuck
the right players were on the pitch, they’re just not in the same class as what they’re up against
Would’ve been 8-0 if Potter was still in charge and Ward-Prowse would’ve played the whole game

Nuno’s laydowns.

Any manager that sets his team up to play like that is gonna fail.

We are in trouble. That has to be the worst performance since Fat Sam.

Nothing annoys me more than laying down to an opponent, especially Arsenal ffs!

No excuses that was diabolical.

Nuno needs to apologize to everyone at the club.

fucking pathetic all round.

Was never a chance in hell of us coming away with anything from this. Not rejoicing at a loss, but not suicidal, either.

Is he a creative midfielder? Is he a more defensive guy? Is he a deep-lying playmaker?

Its just not yet clear what his big strengths, or his main roles, are. Hopefully he’ll settle soon. But he’s just drifting around at the moment. A bit like JWP - although he really had no excuse, as he’d been here for several seasons.

I can tell you what he isn’t, and that’s a value for money signing. 40m on him is as bad as 45m on Kilman and 25m on Hermansen.

Just a huge park the bus routine today. Hate seeing it but it's not like Nuno could get all his ideas across to the players he barely knows since rocking up last Saturday when he first met them. An obvious damage limitation exercise. Can't have too many of them kind of performances though in the future with his own staff in place.

Didnt think that pen was in the box tbh
if I think about it I feel like somehow we restricted Arsenal from gutting us like a fish.
Glad to see youth on the pitch.
Nothing more to add. Not an unexpected result really.

That was shit, to be honest. We didn’t lay a glove on them. And they didn’t even have to get out of first gear.

Thats happening too often this season: Sunderland, Spurs, Arsenal etc.

We are a very poor side.

Hopefully, Nuno can make some sense from this chaos.

Bit of perspective required here, they’re one of the best teams in the league and have been for a couple of years.
meanwhile we’ve been one of the worst.

defensively we’ve looked better but going forward we’ve offered nothing.

It's good to see him using the subs well and giving youngsters a chance.

Let's see what happens over the break in terms of his own background team.

I'd like to see Paqueta benched though and Potts brought in and Fernandes pushed further forward.

We won't be relegated.

No, we had one after a minute, when Fullkrug should have scored an open goal.

the most worrying aspect is not really having a shot on target. Less concerns about the 2 we conceded, many a team will be well beaten by Arsenal but teams who cant score goals WILL be relegated. Worrisome times in that respect.
