We need Man City to keep in touch with Real Madrid so that they rest a few.

Summerville having a knock for City and Villa, missing international duty, and coming back rested for the run-in might not be the worst thing to happen. Certainly would rather he stayed healthy. We're going to be in quite a spot of bother if it's any longer than that.

As an aside and opinions and all that but even though Taty has scored 3 headed goals, he is not anywhere near as effective for the overall team as Pablo who has yet to net?

He makes some touches and passes here and there but generally on the periphery of the game? Perhaps since he’s been up top centrally alone is the issue? Maybe just perception and stats say different?

Dont get me wrong he starts because we dont have a decent alternative but the “young athletic carthorse” that is Pablo really helps us with his pressing and physical presence even if he is awaiting delivery of a banjo with which to hit a cows arse

It was mentioned on the commentary on Monday that we've banned Traore from lifting weights 🤣

Out of material then I see. 🤣

Saying that, you have been for months.

Could Taty play left with Pablo up front in a 4-3-3?

Soucek, Fernandes and one of Potts, Magassa or Kante behind them.

Far from ideal but injuries are part and parcel and we have had a good run in recent times. Just have to hope he is back when they say and he doesn't get the Alan Devonshire flu again.

I'm backing Traore to step up.

Traore on the left if Jimmy is out.

Ajala (or any other youth player) is not gonna come on against City and make any sort of difference.

Be real.

Miike,
Kinda agree if no Summerville, though it did look like a bang on his leg and not ligmant, painful for a bit and he'll probably have a big bruise for a few days.5 days recovery.Traore was much better however he needs to help out the defence a lot more or he'll be off after 16 mins. Traore should be up for it if selected,he can charge his ego against Semenyo.
We need alternatives and having Ajala gives us another option. Bet he'll be up for it if on the bench.
The subs will be extra important and Soucek has looked knackered after 75 minutes,we now have Kante who could come on and give much needed energy. Can't see Pablo lasting much more than 65 minutes either. Wilson or extra legs in midfield,Potts over Magassa for me.

luckily there's a break coming up, I'm not against the big lump starting again wide left. he looked potentially dangerous a couple of times on monday but lacked the final pass/shot. get josh on the bench as another option

He was taken off at half time in the Villa cup match last year purely as a precautionary measure and we didn't see him for the rest of the reason

Cornet also has a minor calf strain but hopefully he will be back soon.

We'd used all 6 subs

                Mads

     KWP  Disasi Todibo Mayers

Bowen Kante Fernandes Soucek  Diouf

                    Pablo

Think Diouf will be better option out wide than Traore. Leave him as a impact sub.  Think Pablo works better up top alone than Taty. Again options from the bench for us.

Kante keeps his place after midweek,  anyone starting Magassa after his cameo the other night needs to go specsavers.

Be tough without Jimmy, we have to be wary of our GD next few games without him.

I'd fill the midfield and have just the one forward.

Hermanson

AWB.....Disasi.....Todibo.....Diouf

Bowen.....Fernandes.....Soucek.....Magassa    Traore

Taty

I couldn't give a monkeys who he picks.

This is not a write off by any means, our tails are up and we have to try to nick a draw, Forest and others have and we are playing them between their Real Madrid fixtures. There was also a school of thought on here that the game being moved to the evening will help us.

Forest managed a draw at the Etihad recently. No excuses for not going for a result at Home ourselves.

Ferret's team looks about right. It won't be enough for even a draw against Manchester City though.

They are assessing Summerville's injury so it's not definite he's out.
