Andy Garcia had a good few years after GF3 and then disappeared off a cliff.
He was good in some great films
Black Rain
Untouchables
What to do in Denver when your dead
In the mid 80’s both he and Jimmy Smitt’s were pushed hard by the studio’s as the next big Latino star’s. Garcia was under contract at Paramount and GF3 was the last picture in that deal. He had a agreement with them if they made a fourth film. But it didn’t pan out. Smitt’s went back to TV and found more success their over the years. Garcia turns up in tonnes of stuff. Usually as the bad guy.
Cheers Andy

Too much over acting in godfather 3 and I remember being gutted the first time I saw it as the first two are complete masterpieces, and as for Sofia Coppola in it the less said about that the better

"don't see him in much these days as pointed out by a previous poster."
He ( Garcia) was last seen starring in 'Landman 34 days ago.

Yeah that's the one. It's a poor film by comparison to the first two, which are masterpieces. However, I watched it again recently and I think it's a decent film and gets a lot of hate because Duvall wasn't in it and because Coppola cast his daughter as Pacino and Keaton's daughter after Winona Ryder dropped out - and she was beyond terrible.
Ray Liotta is good in it.
Do you mean Andy Garcia?

Denver when your dead is one of my favourite films - Fairuza Balk was terrific in that (and American history X). She also disappeared.
Come to think of it, so did Bridget Fonda from Godfather 3
.

Coppola should have got his nephew Nicholas Cage to play the Garcia role even if he was younger.

I just Googled Garcia as I thought he had croaked it alongside Liotta. He is still going, don't see him in much these days as pointed out by a previous poster.

All my favourite actors seem to be born around 1930
Same here, I'd add Steve McQueen, Paul Newman and Robert Redford to that although Newman and Redford were born a few years prior. It's interesting to see how many of them cut their teeth on shows like Alfred Hitchcock Presents or The Twilight Zone. A whose who of acting.
Thought Duvall was also excellent in The Natural with Robert Redford. The Judge with Robert Downey Jr. and I always thought Deep Impact was a decent film, a tad more realistic than the enjoyable romp that was Armageddon.

OK Mike, didn't see it. Thanks
I bet McCoist told some Gazza stories to Duvall?
He's been talking about him on talksport since the death, Duvall even appeared on a pundit panel with Ally & John Collins back then (TS showed the clip). Ally said he was great company, apparently he shared a NY apartment in the early days with Hoffman & Hackman
Love it and love the fact that Duvall's favourite player is Jinky
