Man City cheats OUT.
Chelsea cheats OUT.
Hopefully Tottenham out tonight.
Arsenal through to the QFs.
Liverpool likely to go through to the QFs.
Newcastle currently losing at Barcelona.

Good game so far this Barcelona v Newcastle game.

Yep agree with that, but will see on Sunday if they are turning a corner or not. They were better at Anfield, albeit they played them at a good time.

A bit embarrassing to ship 7 ffs. I know PSR etc is a big issue but is this really what the new owners at Newcastle envisaged when they took over a few years back, European also-rans? Hard to see what the plan is there.

Fancy Spurs might beat Forest on Sunday.

Couple of flattering results for spurs which are probably helpful in making a bit of a false dawn and keeping Tudor in his job longer.

This tie was already lost with both sides knowing it.

Spurs put in a decent performance I thought, maybe the players lifted their game due to it being the CL and in the shop window? Mind you I’m not sure the Spaniards took it too seriously, seemed happy enough just to play the game out with their 3 goal advantage, each time they went a goal down they stepped up and got level aside from Spurs 3rd but by then it was over.

Spurs next game is huge, reckon they will beat Forest but if they don’t……

There were signs of an improvement at Anfield and that was repeated tonight. I don't think anyone can claim otherwise.  Sunday will be interesting but it's likely the last thing we need is a Forest win?

Gallagher with an outrageous dive … Matterface wants a penalty
Igor Tudor goes straight down the tunnel without shaking hands … Matterface not bothered

Is this cսnt going to team up with prized dullard Lee Dixon for ITV’s World Cup coverage?
Good grief

Spurs humiliated conceding 7 & out they go
Reckon Forest will beat them

Some tasty looking quarter finals:

PSG v Liverpool
Real Madrid v Bayern Munich

Barcelona v Atletico Madrid
Sporting Lisbon v Arsenal

I'll bump this thread when the quarter finals come around.

This spurs team is interesting. I feel like the CL has no bearing on how teams play in the league. Feels crazy that a team who haven’t won a game for over 3 months will suddenly just turn it on. Makes no sense.

It always annoys me when moronic English commentators like Sam Matterface constantly make snidey little digs about Diego Simeone.

The lack of respect they show him, one of the greatest managers of modern times, is appalling. All because Beckham got himself sent off for kicking him in World Cup 1998!

17th May that game is.

Loads of water will have passed under many burnt bridges by the time we get to play them.

Splendid.

The Tottenham of the north east.

Hopefully Sunlun will do the double over them.

Mad tactics from Howe. It's nights like this which highlight why he will never be a top tier manager and is unlikely to ever get a top tier job.
