Re: Freddie Potts

he might not offer exactly what we are missing, but before we signed Fernandes and Magassa, he offered us a much greater level of enthusiasm and energy in midfield, which we were definitely missing.

But now he is behind:

Paqueta
Fernandes
Magassa
JWP
Soucek
Guido
Irving

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Two left backs/ left wing backs have gone in Emerson and Cresswell and one has come in. So Diouf replaces one of them, we are left one senior left back/ left wing back short. If Diouf gets injured KWP or AWB will have to fill in out of position. Back to square pegs in round holes under Sullivan and...

Re: How long before our first point/s?

I dont want to sound negative but the question now is, did we get lucky today or does that team, formation, tactics etc, pick up more points going forward? We obviously have Magassa to come in, Summerville maybe earning a start off the back of this performance but the big thing for me is will he see...

Re: Freddie Potts

The academy is dead under the current manager.  Absolutely no point in having one.

It is a fucking myth that he gives youth a chance - he's a bad as Moyes and Lopetegui.

Not a single youth player has started since Ollie Scarles in April against Liverpool, which was 9 competitive games ago.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

It would be just our luck that these 2 decent midfielders will be signed to play alongside Soucek or JWP and not Paqeuta which could actually be quite exciting.
Chances are we'll be brought swiftly back down to earth by selling Paqueta to Spurs for a small fee.

Re: HITC Sevens Alfie’s perfect assessment of West Ham

Really interesting video stating that we are in no threat of PSR rules right now. Next video I watched was the Potter Press Conference where he says that it's very difficult to bring players in because of PSR. Probably not Potters fault to be fair, expect he's being fed the same bullshit from the ow...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

I did some research courtesy of TransferMarkt.co.uk earlier this week but sadly binned the spreadsheet.  I'm not sure how accurate the numbers are but let's assume they are correct for the same of this exercise. Since moving to the London Stadium we have spent a fraction over 1bn (euros) on transfer...

No idea why we thinking loaning out Alvarez makes any sense whatsoever.  Get Soucek, JWP, Rodriguez and Irving out the door before Alvarez on a poxy loan no?    Yeah cos there's loads of clubs queuing up to sign them. Rodriguez has a Saudi offer and theyve turned down bids for Irving.  Getting thos...

Re: Brady on Talksport this morning

The LLDC royally fucked up the naming rights issue.  Apparently they paid a company around 500k to go and find them a sponsor for the stadium and that firm came back empty handed.  Absolute joke.   In fairness to KB she said that West Ham offered to find a partner as it's in our best interests, but ...

Re: Brady on Talksport this morning

We are stuck with the stadium and it's civil servant management for whatever remains of the 99 year lease. I suspect that the only things that could change things are a structural failure in the stadium that renders it unusable, or the failure of the Thames Barrier during an acid inspired repeat of...

We have Summerville & Guilherme … if we can get them fit We need mobile physical midfielders. I’d even take Bissouma on loan after he has fallen out of favour at Tottenham  Was good at Brighton but has never really fit there Presume Potter knows him and what he can do The Lille player Muckau is...

I would only be surprised if Potter DIDN'T play Guido and JWP on Friday.

I fully expect our starting line-up to be pretty much the same.

So out of all of the people that are responsible for what is going on at our club, you decide to pick out Mark Noble?  That is very odd.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

The thing is, our 3 CBs are all poor for various reasons, but they also fit the profile that Potter would want anyway as his whole focus is on possession, and as bad as they are defensively, Todibo, Kilman and Aguerd are all better at passing the ball and playing out from the back than most of th...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

I wouldn't be so bothered about selling Paqueta in his current form, if I had any confidence that we might replace him. But we sold Kudus and didn't even bat an eyelid at who would replace him in the team. For what it's worth, I think we should be getting in a midfilder (or 2) that can play with Paq...

I don't think I can forgive Potter for not playing Potts on Saturday, or even bringing him on. My money would be on Gareth Southgate if Potter goes any time soon.

Our owners would genuinely think that is a high level appointment.

On todays result and performance, probably one of the only premiership teams to go into this season weaker than how we finished last season.

Even Bournemouth who sold 75% of their defence looked better than us.  Imagine we played anyone decent today?

It is not acceptable.

Potter proves he's just like every other manager we've had recently when it comes to youth.  All talk and no action. I'm not optimistic about Wilson. I've already said that I think it was a bad signing because his injury history is likely to cause problems with squad management this season. That doesn't mean I shouldn't point out when people are making shit up about him being injured already, does it?  He’s on a ...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

I don't think anyone is questioning Wilson's goal-scoring ability. But West Ham do not get on well with injury-prone players, especially at 33 years old when the desire and ability to recover quickly probably isn't the same as it is when you are 23. It's all well and good saying: "If he's fit.....
