"Sydney, the stick is OK to side load kodi on, loads of YouTube videos to assist, but I would say it was a budget option primarily. The remote is basic and functional with no frills. I think there maybe an app so you can use an android phone as a remote, but I haven't tried it myself."

You can get an empty android box and add kodi and a wizard (suite of ad dons prepare by some kind soul). It isn't too hard and there are loads of YouTube videos to follow. I bought a preloaded box a couple of years ago for ease. But I have just bought an Amazon Fire stick and loaded the beast wizard...
