Re: Sullivan out!

Your theory is that Sullivan is attempting to show how valuable his stewardship of transfers has been? I struggle to see how anyone could look at West Ham’s dreadful transfer record since he got involved and reach the conclusion that what is needed to get out of this mess is more of the same. Repeat...

Re: Sullivan out!

PSR is definitely a convenient smokescreen for the Board to hide behind. It suits them as they can argue it is an external constraint to hide behind claiming that their hands are tied. I think you can forget all about PSR in the future now that Chelsea have driven a coach and horses through the rule...

Re: Sullivan out!

While watching the Netflix documentary on Michelle Mone recently, I was struck by the similarities between her career and that of Karen Brady. Both having created reputations as successful young businesswoman based entirely on PR perception rather than anything they had actually achieved. Equally, t...

Re: Sullivan out!

The Board are still able to make loans to the club as long as they are shown at fair market value in the accounts. It is their decision whether they choose to do so or not

Re: Sullivan out!

That 75% reinvested post is recycled from a story on the ‘ever reliable’ Hammers News a few weeks ago. The rationale, I think, was based on only a portion of any fee received from player sales representing profit, at least from a PSR perspective. For example, if Kudus is sold for £85 m and his book ...

The outstanding Vlasic fee would have been a small part of the £191 million owed in transfer fees at the time the accounts closed in May 2024.

Walker-Peters, a full-back who is equally inept at defending on either flank.

Talking of Sullivan and safeguarding, a delightful story about his current floozy, Ampika Pickston and the children's home he funded, and which she has been judged unfit to manage

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

As long as you don't buy any players.

Anyway, it is rare for any club to have negative EBITDA. West Ham aren't an exception as you suggested.

So, you agree. An operating loss of 30 million.

Almost every club has a positive EBITDA. Ridiculous to exclude player amortisation when analysing football club accounts

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

West Ham made a 30 million operating loss in the last financial accounts.

The move from Upton Park to Stratford only earned approx 10 million in the first season. Revenues have since increased in line with a general uplift in EPL

A betting company with morals? You're having a laugh.

Could easily have been handled with a quiet word. With the amounts involved it would never have come to light had they not escalated it

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

Two red flags that your scouting is rubbish:

1. Hoping to pick up bargains from relegated clubs in fire sales.

2. Going back to the manager's former club(s) for signings.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

I thought the reason Ramsdale was frozen out at Arsenal was down to how poor he was with distribution. A good shot stopper who could not do what his manager wanted with the ball at his feet. Exactly the same as Areola at West Ham, making it a signing that would make no sense other than to fill a hol...
