Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Traore is now a professional sub. He has is an athlete who can be a distraction for the opposition at best. He is like a quicker Antonio but shorn of the goals and assists. I dont actually mind him when I have seen him play, but that was a while ago. It's a bit worrying that he hasn't had a loo...

Ok, that makes more sense. As I've rarely seen Bowen get subbed for us.

It's hard to comprehend what goes through your mind regarding football. Fucking hell.
I love a good battle, but with you bro.. fuck me, you're on something else.
Just relax, its not that deep.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
360 He is a right winger, which will give us balance and more options up front So if he starts where does Bowen play? If he comes on as sub where does Bowen move to if Tatty or Wilson is playing central? Feels like limited time for Bowen if Traore comes in. Which is pretty unusual. Unless Bowen...

Re: Potential boycott of World Cup over Greenland!
I dunno, this stuff is escalating so fast I’m not sure there will be a World Cup tbh. I don’t think western Europe can ignore anyone stealing any of its territory. Sport takes a backseat. It kind of has to. Hopefully it gets moved and if FIFA doesn’t like it, well FIFA doesn’t have to exist. Create...

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Def agree with the more goal scorers before defenders mindset. defending is about coaching and organisation more than a specific skill. Thats why Todibo looks so much better or Dawson can come in from a relegation side and look like Maldini. scoring goals is so bloody hard. It’s the magic stuff. I...

Isnt Traore a right sided winger? Thats where I've normally seen him.
What happens to Bowen?
Bowen rarely gets subbed.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Can anyone explain objectively why Nuno wouldn’t want Wilson?
I don’t believe all these rumours.
if he hates him so much why was he on the bench and why did he even put him on?
he obviously doesn’t fuck around if he doesn’t like you (JWP).
Way too many rumours with no substance going around.

Nah. It’s a game. They weren’t being fair. Fuck Afcon as it’s a terrible organisation in terms of governance. They even banned adebayor and the Togo team for getting shot up on their bus ffs. Whatever sanction they give to Senegal will not come from any place of morality. they left the field becaus...

Re: African Cup of Nations
Never saw the incidents but you can’t give soft penalties at this level, esp after disallowing a goal like that. fuck knows what that pen was about though, like his mind felt to guilty to just put his foot through it. if Senegal didn’t come out I bet the would have been banned for a tournament or t...

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Are we now one of the only teams in the PL that are essentially playing 4-4-2? I feel like having 2 mobile attackers although not the sharpest, ends up bringing more balance. With just 1 guy up there isolated it always looks easy for defenders to deal with unless they are workhorses like Antonio. ...

Re: Spurs vs West Ham | PL | 17.1.26 | Predictions and Match Thread
It's hard to over think this stuff. All very sliding doors for me. In another universe, Scarles gets done for handball and they win. Just like has happened in several games this season, shit has gone against us. When I say "the stars aligned" it really does feel like that. Maybe I'm parano...

Re: Nuno Out
After reading what Nuno told JWP before his first training session with the players, it makes him sound like a big cu@t. I've never heard a manager come in and, straight from the start, before he's even greeted all the players, pull a player into the office and tell him he isn't in his plans for th...

Re: Valentin (Taty) Castellanos
I do think you have to look at transfers in the context of players like Gokyerez - 60m with near 1:1 goal ration in Portugal, 1in4 after the 19 games in the best club in the league. or Florian Wirtz at Liverpool, 2 goals I think, nearly 100m? It's a hard league. It's always a gamble regarding how ea...
Re: VAR
It's not going away, but at least we confirmed your idea is absolutely ludicrous. Of course it’s absolutely ludicrous. Which is why they’ve been officially trialing the concept https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cwyk11nlzxyo because they’re in the habit of trialling really really st...
Re: VAR
So if you get those calls right, you still lose them? Therefore, if you challenge twice, and you get them both correct, lose your challenges, and there is an incorrect call in the 90th minute but you can't challenge it, and you still lose all the millions you're so worried about, what then? Yes...

Re: VAR
threesixty wants the possibility of there being potentially 10+ of them a game, coma, decided by the respective teams. It needs scrapping. It's the best game in the world, bar none, why the fuck mess with it? It's made the game fundamentally worse, that can't even be questioned, those that have the...

That are watched LESS than football.
Why don’t the players wear swimming caps on their heads. They do it in water polo.
Because football shares NO similarities with any other sport on earth….
Re: VAR
I think 2 each is enough. only for things that lead to a goal. It brings some level of strategy to the game instead of some arbitrary randomness from officials. the upshot is you get the free flowing game back without the threat of VAR for every single thing. Big teams have the same query ability...
Re: VAR
Works well in other sports and I like it as a system but would be a lot harder to administer in football. In cricket, tennis, NFL and baseball where I'm familiar with them using some sort of challenge system, there's only one delivery, point, play or pitch to happen in isolation and react to, with ...
