Re: King Billy
Used to see Billy walking around in Bromley when I lived there back in the early 80s. Never plucked up the courage to speak to him - he had as much of an aura about him on the street as he did on the pitch. All the best Bill - get well soon.

Top, top bloke - love him. Produced some great moments but not sure if I would want him back - too inconsistent. We can do better.

Thanks guys, but I'm not aware of these "various tickets groups". Can someone please tell me who and where they are? Cheers.

Does the ticket exchange still exist?
Thinking of going to the Burnley game this Saturday. I've not been for a couple of years and always used to get a ticket from the ticket exchange but that doesn't seem to be an option on the website any more. Is that right. I wanted something in the lower tier but there's nothing available, which se...

Re: Super Frankie Lampard
If you look at the tit-for-tat element of it, it was all started by a moronic minority of our fans who gave him a load of undeserved stick. Can't really blame him for being a bit pissed off with that. Yes, he overstepped the mark and was a bit unwise and immature in some of what he gave back. But se...

Areola KWP Mavro Kilman Diouf Fernandes Magassa Paqueta Bowen Wilson Summerville Really hoping not to see Soucek back for this one. For me he represents the past and was a major factor in what was a failing midfield. I don't mind which of the Callums starts, but either way, I would hope the other...

Re: Fullkrug Speaks Out
It's hard to see Antonio as the solution to this situation, even if it's only as backup. Trouble is, this is going to mean Wilson gets a lot more time on the pitch - knowing his fragility, it probably won't be long before he gets injured too. I rate Marshall very highly and I'm kind of glad that he'...

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham | PL | 4.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
Yes, the manager seemed to be happy with Fulkrug, but I would like to see Wilson get at least half an hour. What he lacks in terms of being a battering ram he more than makes up for in intelligence and guile.

Re: Great article in the Guardian
Stopped reading when he wrote that we are an "East End" club. We're not. We are an east London club. And the distinction explains a lot about West Ham and its fans, which this bloke has just merged into the rest of London (including the plastic, soul-less City). Not surprising that a hack...

I would be delighted to be wrong but I can't see us getting anything out of this except some encouraging signs and a gutsy, competitive performance leading to a narrow scoreline. Agree with the lineup.

Re: Team Captain
I think many of us are overlooking the fact that the problem with a lack of leadership wasn't Bowen but Potter. Nuno has already shown more leadership and strength of purpose in a few days than Potter did in a few months. Okay, so Bowen isn't an "in your face" kind of leader on the pitch ...

Re: West Ham vs Palace | PL | 20.9.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
Same team as Sir Alf but Wilson in for Marshall, who would be better coming on after 60 against tired defenders. Also tempting to play Todibo instead of the ineffectual Kilman but they're probably as bad as each other. Another tonking and I reckon it'll be curtains for Potter. Not at all confident t...

Re: JWP: We need to talk about his seriously poor contribution to the team
Totally agree with Gank about him being a mini Potter. In fact he could be Potter's long-lost son - they even look vaguely alike. Both good at being Mr Nice Guy but both are spent, having somehow lost whatever skills they once had. I don't know if they have gone backwards or the football world has m...

Re: Potter Out
I don't know where this PE teacher idea comes from. I have had countless PE teachers as colleagues over the years and they were all, without exception, hard as nails. Potter is way too soft, too much Mr Nice Guy to ever be a teacher. He wouldn't last 5 minutes. He'd have a tough lesson and witter on...

Re: Potter Out
I'm not usually one for knee jerk reactions when it comes to getting rid of managers, but what we saw yesterday was absolutely dire and proved that Forest was just a flash in the pan. Firstly the team selection. No striker, particularly leaving out Wilson after his performance last week. Starting w...

Thanks for pointing that out, CS. My mistake - I meant to put KWP in there. Agreed - AWB has been poor so far. Curse of HotY.

Hermansen
AWB Mavro. Kilman. Diouf
Fernandes. Magassa. Paqueta
Bowen. Wilson. Summerville
Stubbo - there's no way he isn't playing Wilson up front. (Better wrap him in cotton wool til Saturday and leave him out of the warm-up.)

Looks like a very tidy player, both in front of goal and in the build-up. I reckon he also went to the same diving school as Paqueta. Sign him up.
