Re: Daily Quiz anyone?
As this is the quiz thread I thought I'd just put this here. Funny what you learn. I'm watching a new Joe Rogan interview with Russell Crowe and I had no idea that ex New Zealand cricket Captains Jeff Crowe and the late Martin Crowe are his cousins. Plus watching Russell try and explain cricket and ...

Read this earlier, not sure if it's true, maybe someone can clarify? "When Tony Blair came to power the national debt was 25% when he left it was 65%. The Conservatives had spent the last 14 years trying to pay of that debt that Labour had accumulated and also paying for a pandemic. Under St...

Bonds, Brooking and Devonshire are my top 3 Hammers I have seen in the flesh, I did catch Bobby Moore, but that was towards the end of his career with us, I started going in 71/72, and to me as a kid, it was absolutely magical Same. it isn't just how good they were, they embodied what it is to almo...

Probably the best compliment you can give him is that Trevor decided to retire when he did partially down to the fact Dev was injured. Frank Mac said Dev was the best player he played with and that was after his injury! There is a good video interview somewhere on You Tube, one of those Canning Town...

Must say I thought Areola did well today apart from a couple of dodgy kicks. Came for corners and got a decent fist on a few, maybe Nuno has told him to come for more to help the defence out.

Seemed very calm under pressure, something he has obviously inherited from his dad. Impressive start, hopefully he can keep it up and improve. What I liked most was the fact he was vocal, coming from a younsgter that was impressive.

Could that bit of luck turn our season? Round pegs in round holes, who would have thought it. Good half but please do not sit back. Love to know Nunos thoughts on swapping over Kilman and Todibo, they usually play on the other side don't they?

Great strike. Good response to be fair. Just need to maintain it. Think Wilson is doing well, gives us a focal point.

Bizarre rule isn't it. Freddie Potts gets ball first and follows through and it's a free kick. In the area Newcastle defender gets the ball but follows through and it's a drop ball !

Bit harsh on Paul Hilton and Iain DowIe. Considering he came from that heavily beaten Bury team I don't think he ever let West Ham down. Played well in that 4-0 win at Chelsea when Alvin was injured. Decent back up player. Dowie was never a goal scorer but did a decent job as a support to the likes ...

17 was interesting - for me, at least. I'd always believed that the term "Royal Oak" was derived from the/a king claiming them all (oak trees) for the navy's ships, in order to prevent the locals chopping them down for furniture and firewood. Never too old to learn something new, eh? ...
