Favorite West Ham memory
Favorite West Ham memory
If you could re-live one game/ memory again which one would it be?
West Ham beating Fulham in the 1975 FA Cup final had a big impact on an 8 year old boy at the time.
The 3-3 draw against Spurs with Lanzini’s wonder goal ranks up there for me too.
favorite memory is Frank Lampards diving header to take us to the cup final. What a moment! We all went mental!

Re: Favorite West Ham memory
Harewoods goal against Arsenal and the ensuing argument with Wenger.
Zamora putting Campbell on his arse and Campbell fucking off home at HT.
Tevez free kick against the yids.
All pretty special

Re: Favorite West Ham memory
I'll always remember West Ham 5-4 Bradford - the game had everything.
More recently, the home game against Seville where we lost the previous leg 1-0 and had to beat them at home - atmosphere was incredible and it was a massive result against a decent european outfit.

Revie was incensed after that 7-0.
He told reporters after the game that 'no one will ever do that to a team of mine again'

zico. that 7-0 game was a league cup game under the lights. Don Revie was not too pleased.
Geoff Hurst and John Sissons both had a hat trick and Peters with the other goal.

Re: Favorite West Ham memory
My favourite memory at a game was Derby at Upton sometime early 2000s, I think. It was an amazing corner, Joe Cole from the corner passed to Paulo on the edge of the penalty area who volleyed the ball over the the back post to Trevor Sinclair who overhead kicked the ball into the goal. The ball never touched the ground, truely sexy amazing football. So incredible that I remember it quite clearly to this day.
I'm guessing the memories need to be when attending the game. I don't get to many games, so all finales etc are out for me.

West Ham United 7 Leeds United 0, November 1966.
Pity there aren't any highlights of that anywhere!
For me it's when my late dad somehow got VIP tickets at Stamford Bridge for the 4-0 thumping of Chelsea in 85/86. Can't really ever remember the team playing better than that, especially on such a pitch. Dev was just sublime, even after his injury. Pity Geoff Pike didn't make it 5.

Re: Favorite West Ham memory
Scott Parker, can't remember who we were playing, at UP, but was around the time he had got the hump at half time and bollocked the team in the changing room, second half he picks the ball up deep in our half a preceeded to beat every one of their players before smashing home to put us in the lead, talk about leading by example, small bloke but a cracking player, and great memory, in an otherwise lacklustre game

Re: Favorite West Ham memory
Getting relegated at Liverpool unfortunately, typical West ham we gave ourselves a glimmer of hope when we scored and then it went downhill after that. Loads of "proper " West ham up there that night both inside and outside the ground and the atmosphere was fantastic. Bought my first season ticket in the chicken run for the next season in division two as it was then

I was there that night. I can't think of any words to do justice to describe West Ham's performance. They have never come anywhere near that quality since.Far Cough UKunt » 04 Jul 2025, 19:36, wrote: ↑04 Jul 2025, 19:19West Ham United 7 Leeds United 0, November 1966.Budgie Byrne ripped Jackie Charlton a brand spanking new arsehole, that night.

At The Boleyn in the Chicken Run dead in line with Di Canio when he made contact with the ball to witness one of the most aesthetic and technically difficult unique goals ever scored in the game on the eve of my 18th birthday.
That to me is what the game is all about, other than hoprfully winning a Trophy, to witness genuine magical Footballing moments on the pitch and at our spiritual beloved Home to boot that will live long in the memory.

Re: Favorite West Ham memory
We had a street party after the win. Everyone was out celebrating. The whole neighbourhood was involved.
A different time back then.

Re: Favorite West Ham memory
Bit of a strange one, but one that sticks out for a few reasons was Birmingham away in 1993, when Kenny Brown and Bish scored in the last couple of minutes we were shit all game, the natives were very upset

Re: Favorite West Ham memory
Play off Semi at home Vs Ipswich with my old man in the Bobby Moore at Upton Park, probably my favourite memory.
Watching Payet outclass De Bruyne at home with Slav in charge was joyous.
Song dominating midfield in that golden period before big Sam reverted to type.
And, of course, the whole Di Canio/Redknapp era for all the ups and downs it brought.
