Hammers United Protests | Who's Going?
So next Saturday is the first protest with a pre-game march.
Thought a thread to organise within the context of WHO, who's going, anyone that wanted to get slurps before and after etc might be worth doing.
I'll confirm the logistics of things and post them up as well.

Just read the club's statement and it appears our fears are unjustified. Everything's fine and there's no need for worry or change.
That's a relief(!)

Trying to appease fans via spin and essentially a recollection of history that is revisionist. They just do t understand. Someone needs to ask Brady to publish or show the long term plan. Platitudes and slogans dont cut it.

Re: Hammers United Protests | Who's Going?
Looking solely at the 'strong' domestic Cup runs in the previous 9 seasons in the Shithole, it's horrific.
Since the move:
FA Cup:
- 3rd R
- 4th R
- 4th R
- 4th R
- 5th R
- 5th R

Carabao Cup:
- 5th R
- Quarters
- 4th R
- 3rd R
- 4th R
- Quarters
- 3rd R
- Quarters
- 3rd R
That's with all the extra financial muscle compared to the Boleyn, over double crowd capacity our record is shocking. That's with 14 consecutive seasons in the Premier League as well.
The last time we got the furthest in the FA Cup was still at The Boleyn under Bilic reaching the Quarters against Man Utd, only to be cheated out of a winnable Semi Final by Schweinsteiger fouling our Keeper Randolph.
So by dopey Doris own metric, we've totally failed having a single 'strong' domestic Cup runs, as reaching the Quarter's in the Carabao Cup doesn't wash, sorry.

She blatantly typed that guff up, even if she aint brave enough to stick her name to it.
Finishing 10th and just about sneaking in to the Europa Conference Cup is nowhere near good enough ambition for us, 'strong' Cup run, even if we remained at The Boleyn, let alone 10 years now since the big money making move.
They have lowered their own bar and by their own admittance gone back on the lies they once boasted to the world we should be aiming for - At least top 6/Champions League qualifying/try to win the FA Cup. We've barely done any of that since the move. Just 1 6th place finish during Covid season with no crowd, shit FA Cup runs and definitely nowhere near Champions League Football.

It’s basically a big fuck you to the fans.
we’ve won a trophy, we have a progressive manager and have invested in the team and infrastructure, so what more do you want?
they certainly won’t be resigning or giving up any responsibility any time soon.

They clearly view football fans as ungrateful cloth cap doffing, forelock tugging ignoramuses who should jolly well know their place (downstairs) and stay there, accepting, without question, what's being offered to them.

Re: Hammers United Protests | Who's Going?
This bit highlighted below has seriously fucked me off and proves our point about the lies and lack of ambition of the Club and that's since we've long been established in the Olympic Stadium for a decade now.
'Supporters have spoken of the need for greater ambition than our position of the past two seasons, and we agree. Regular top-half finishes, strong domestic cup runs, and qualification for European competition remain the goals we are working towards. We know we must do better to deliver those ambitions more consistently.'
1: Regular top half finishes - What the fuck happened to regularly challenging for a top 6 finish and qualifying for the Champions League?
2: Strong Domestic Cup runs - What the fuck happened to regularly trying to win and not just to have a strong run in the FA Cup?
3: Qualifying for any European Football - What the fuck happened to trying to qualify for the Champions League which has never looked close to being achieved?
It's all 'lies, lies, lies'.

Re: Hammers United Protests | Who's Going?
Shocking word salad of nothingness, apart from somehow attempting to blow smoke up their own arses. They carry on like we won the fucking Champions League, the shit spinning wankers!
I also noted their ambitions really have changed from the lies they once boldly told us all would happen within 5 years...

Regular top-half finishes, strong domestic cup runs, and qualification for European competition remain the goals we are working towards. We know we must do better to deliver those ambitions more consistently.'
...Now compare and contrast that to back in 2015 when Slugfuck spouted:
Asked about how he saw the next five years for West Ham, Sullivan replied: 'I’d like to see us win the Premier League and then the Champions League. Yes, I know it’s unlikely but again, not impossible — look at Atletico Madrid. We can all dream.'
We are West Ham United, we’re a big club, one of four big clubs in London. We have some catching-up to do but we’ve closed the gap.'
And Gold added: 'I would be disappointed if we don’t join the so-called top six within the next five years. We know the fanbase is there and it will grow when we move [to the Olympic Stadium].
'This isn’t blind optimism. I can see everything coming together, culminating in us becoming a top club, challenging at the highest level with top players in an amazing stadium supported by amazing fans.'
'Our target? To finish in a Champions League spot. That’s not to say we will but why not aim high? The other target is to win the FA Cup'.
...So the fucking goalposts (literally from The Boleyn to the Shithole) have definitely changed for the worse.
As for the Academy flannel, The Wicked Witch of the West Ham guffed:
'We have appointed Graham Potter as our new Head Coach. His role is to build and develop a first-team squad in line with the Club’s identity and objectives, with a continued focus on integrating young players from our Academy.
Our Head Coach has made clear his philosophy of developing an environment of trust and togetherness, built on the values that underpin the identity of our football club – including the importance of creating a pathway to the first team for our young Academy players.'
...And yet since he's arrived hes been very reluctant to keep promoting the Youth in to the 1st Team, often overlooking them for disabled old codgers who can barely move. Een to the extent of naming 2 old fucking Keepers on the Bench in the last match!
BSOUT!

Re: Hammers United Protests | Who's Going?
I’ve got mate who visits Whitstable regularly. A nice part of the world. Me and the Scouse one are flying to Barcelona and visiting Andorra as well while we’re in that part of the world.
In regards to the protests, I’ll be interested in seeing what happens in Glasgow, as Rangers and the ghouls in green and white aren’t happy campers either, to see how they go about it.

Re: Hammers United Protests | Who's Going?
I must say, I think FAB and Hammers Utd have organised a compelling case for change. We wont get ownership change, the club and its shares are over valued and Sullivan aint giving up his “golden goose”. The whole issue with the Sullivan, Gold & Brady era, and what is “clear as daylight” now - and why they lied about the stadium, have not invested in the infrastructure and have no long term plan or professional organisation to progress the footballing side - is that it is a distant second in priority to increasing the financial / asset value of West Ham for the owners / shareholders. Sullivan and Brady have done a great job at achieving that. Sullivan’s wealth and that of the shareholders, in terms of asset value, has materially increased from owning West Ham and moving to the bowl over the last 15 years.
Sullivan I believe would actually like and wants footballing success ( discount the conf win, it was an unintended highpoint not thru planning and definitely not the stadium move ), and investment in players has actually been half decent. When we got European monies it was invested in players ( albeit all via future borrowing) but due to the aforementioned lack of long term plans, organisation, infrastructure etc, most of it has been wasted. Recruitment from a footballing and financial standpoint has been nothing short of abject failure. The stadium move also equates to abject failure from an entertainment / fan experience perspective but I would also argue financially too because not owning our own ground has meant we cannot build vast commercial revenues from naming rights and concessions or events like say Spurs, Everton etc do and will. We are no better off than we were at UP thats the sad truth. We are worse off if assessing from the fan experience perspective. And take the example of domestic cups, we were far better at competing in them at UP and for most WH fans they are a priority. Sullivan has spent money on transfers but never really invested to achieve sustained success as its been piecemeal and scattergun bereft of “joined up thinking”. Long term investment for success has actually been minimal or wasted. Its why we have 3rd rate training facilities, a stadium not fit for purpose ( alterations would take investment and partnering with the LLDC not endless court cases) etc. Although, to repeat ad infinitum, even if he and the “spend just enough to keep them quiet” board had “pushed out the boat” it would likely have been totally wasted and ineffectual. Like the Mancs have shown, without proper long term planning and infrastructure etc its easy to waste billions.
So we all need to push hard in the coming months to get them to step down from the day to day running of the club, even if there is an unexpected upturn in form. The media is currently receptive, BS are feeling pressured, there’s never been a better time to launch protests, walk outs etc
