Joshua Zirkzee: Would you want to see his face at West Ham?
The transfer gossip is escalating. West Ham are 'leading the race' for Joshua Zirkzee.
Would you want to see him pull on a West Ham shirt?
Or is he shit?
Let's hear some views.

His goal record in his career so far isn't exactly prolific but technically he is very good and I wouldn't be against him coming here if he can spark some of the others into life.
It's all about our ad hoc, disjointed, laissez-faire, unfocused approach to squad recruitment that is always the problem here.
A half decent footballer ain't gonna change that if the chassis of the team is weak and doesn't really give them a stable platform to perform.

Re: Joshua Zirkzee: Would you want to see his face at West Ham?
TBH almost any striker will be shit with shit behind them, regardless. Especially shit that's going to be sitting deep. There are other things that also need fixing and while a competent striker will make that position stronger it won't necessarily do tonnes for the team in isolation because we'll still be mostly crap- especially with a clown show in defence. For now we basically need an Antonio/Arnie clone. Pace and power.
At the least we need a striker fit for purpose AND two centre backs also fit for purpose. Slight concern that 60 million quid has done nothing to improve the midfield either on current evidence, especially with Fernandes hooked against Brentford and Magassa not even getting on the pitch
As for whether Zirkzee is that striker, I don't know. He's done fuck all for Man U, but they've been as pathetic as us with the only difference they can afford to constantly perform major surgery on their playing staff and we cannot. But it does suggest just plugging a player in doesn't necessarily work without a bigger shift toward a combination of players or system that works. Zirkzee might make us less shit up front, but he can't make us less shit in midfield or defence.

He's slow, not what we're looking for.

He said Marshall is NOT Premiership quality.
He liked the kid. Good for effort, putting himself about. But his career would be forged in the lower leagues.
Feet will be along soon to call you a spurs fan..

I agree with what is said so far, personally.
I think he is shit. But amazingly, he's probably better than anything else we have.

He’s touch for the debut goal was brilliant, he seems to have gone rapidly downhill since and not sure his style would suit our non-style.

If the requirement is a hold it up, put yourself about and get on the end of crosses type of player, then "No!"
