----------------------------------------------------------

Well after the disaster of Monday at Brentford, the thought of more West Ham in the same week is enough to put anyone in a bad mood.  The 'pros' always talk about wanting to get bad games out of their system quickly, and this gives them that opportunity, but also sets up a horrible start to the weekend for the rest of us!

Teamwise, Mavro is out with what looked a nasty hamstring injury.  Fullkrug is still broken, and Earthy remains unfit.  Otherwise the rest of the squad are fit from a health perspective....maybe less so from a 'wear the shirt' angle.

Nuno's logic for his inverted fullbacks it's been revealed was to try and counter Brentford's inverted wing thread, by showing them onto the defender's strong foot...the less said about the success of that the better.  And it struggles to explain Irving and Soucek in the pivot, beyond maybe 'they're both tall'.

Anyway, hopefully that's the last of the experimentation and we can revert to what at least appears a bit less shit.  Wouldn't surprise me to see him go with a back 5 in this game though (and what I'll assume for my predicted XI).

Predicted lineup:
Areola

Wan Bissaka    Kilman     Igor
Summerville                                            Diouf
Magassa Fernandes Paqueta

Soucek

Bowen
Subs: Hermansen, KWP, Todibo, Scarles, Potts, Irving, Guilherme, Wilson, Marshall

The squad is now a real quandary.  We don't have a good CB pairing...Todibo looks hopeless, Kilman and Igor both left footed, with one an unknown and the other weak as the senior CB.  Mavro was signed to be 3rd choice, but he's suddenly the most important man in the back line...a problem in itself.

Summerville is a must have...the only true pace in the side so leaving him out can't be compromised.  If 3 at the back and 3-4-3 was viable, not a problem....but once again we don't have a midfield with a logical two-man pairing.  Add in that Bwoen and Soucek are the only goals, and Paqueta is the only real 'vision' and we are in a bad place with a squad that don't work in combination.

So will he gamble on a bad back two, an untried midfield pair, or leave out one of the 'key' players in Soucek, Bowen, Paqueta, and Summerville.

And as for playing a real striker....

Predicted Score: Leeds 2 : 0 West Ham.

Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.

The only way out of this is to use Potts, Magassa, Fernandes and Paqueta as our CM combos, and exclusively them. Bed them in and get them gelling and we have a chance to have enough about us there, and with Bowen and Summerville and A STRIKER in the side, and the full backs playing where they should. We'll just have to ride the CB and striker situation until January when you have to hope the dwarf opens his wallet.

The frustrating thing about tonight is that bad as we were, if he'd have started with Potts and Fernandes, I think we could have won that. Leeds are dogshit as well. Having our best XI beaten, fair enough, but Nuno just chucked points down the toilet from the first kick of the ball with his fucking shit selections. He cannot possibly do that shit again after tonight, surely.

Yep

We have no character anymore to get out of this.

When identifying and recruiting players their mental strength and leadership qualities should be scrutinized and put at the forefront but this clearly hasn't happened.

The strong characters we did have were largely replaced by shrinking violets or by players who look like they simply don't give a shit

Moyes wanted to sign Maguire and McTominay to which their was much opposition but had those deals come off I don't think we would be having the issues we are now.

we were mostly undone by that poor selection / formation and the naive defending in the first 15 minutes. That much Nuno has to take the blame for.

We got better as the game went on but that may have been as much Leeds taking their foot of the gas as they clearly could tell the game was won by HT and the better second half  showing does not paper over the fact that we are the worst side in the division by a very long way and its really hard to imagine us beating anyone right now.

Nuno has his work cut out. I don't think Alex Ferguson could get a tune out of that shit show of a squad.

Bowen’s problem now that Kudus is gone & our strikers are either OAP’s or children is that he is our only goal threat so teams can double mark him with no concern from other players
Doesnt help that we pick players like Irving who aren’t up to it, immobile players like Soucek & disinterested cowards like Paqueta, Kilman & Todibo
In our current state we will be relegated by Christmas

We are going down for certain, once you accept that you won't be upset by all these shit results. There is no cause for optimism. We've had shit teams in years gone by, but none that cost a fortune to buy, and none with so many weaknesses throughout the team.

- We have a shit midfield  with poor ball retention
- We have  piss poor central defenders.
- We can't defend corners
- We have no striker worth a wank
- We are like most of the old gits on here's sex life, no penetration.
- Every team we play, even the likes of Leeds, who I think will be accompanying us to the Championship, look good when playing us.
- There is no manager in the world who could do anything with this collection of duds.
- We will not attract anybody worth a toss in January. Why would anybody want to board a sinking ship.

So sit back and relax, and look forward to next year games against Millwall, Sheffield United and the like, if they are still there.

Brentford home and Leeds away were not the time to get cute with lineup, and it was suicide to do it twice knowing how important it was to get ANYTHING from one of these games and getting our heads kicked in the first instance and unsurprisingly again in the second. The fact we are still conceding from corners is also astounding. It's very clearly a psychological issue at this point. Burnley might be a must win game now. It will be after the new year before we won't be relying on funny-old-game wins. At which point, we can expect to wait until the day before the window closes to get in some aging, shit loan signing who can play cb and midfield but neither well.
If you had to pick 10:games this season for our best chance of a win, these 2 would be there. Hes completely blown it.

Good on him. We can all see who it is who don't give a fuck. Todibo the number one culprit, but Kilman is clearly going through the motions too, Summerville is a spineless cսnt too, and Paqueta has always been showboating, arrogant prick.

Wan-Bisaka has been playing like a prick too now for over a season and falls over like bambi on ice.

None of them give a fuck, it's plain to see.

He was missing most the game today. They marked him out the game for most of it. The one who should be hiding is the manager for his dogshit selections and tactics.
I bet that dressing room is a toxic mess of players who dont take responsibility,  only care about what's in it for them and have no attachment or passion for the club.
You really get to see a players character when the chips are down. I think we are seeing it.

Feels like Nuno is doing all this shit for non footballing reasons. I don’t know what shit hes trying to prove but it’s massively backfiring because the players he’s dropping have to come on to clean up his shit selection in the first place. I dont know what about the international break fucked his brain? He seemed to be looking around the club to pick non fancied players and prove that he can make something of them maybe?

It dont think he understands how a job is when the fans think you’re a cսnt. Has he ever had a gig like that? I doubt he’s built for that shit. He’s going to learn how bad things can really be in football if he doesn’t stop fucking about.

Of course it was him late on that almost got us back in to it by assisting the goal. Without him we would have been relegated ages ago. Don't deserve the poor lad.

Yup. If they all applied themselves like him we would have no problems at all.

If anyone deserves smashing up Sullivans Roller before curling a fresh hot turd on his backseat, it's Bowen for consistently letting him down with dogshit buys and managers that aint cutting it since he arrived. He is a dream of a Footballer and he's constantly surrounded by shit expected to perform miracles most weeks.

He deserved an Emery, De Zerbi, Glasner, Howe type manager. That's who should be managing him week in, weeknout instead of having to constantly firefight all the time for us. I just hope his contract is well remunerated to make up for the shambles we are.
