Well we may well be down in it for a long time. The LS stadium will undermine that too though. If we were at UP still it would be ok but travelling to a half empty atletics stadium to watch us play Stockport, Bradford or Stevenage etc? Im not sure how enthusiastic our fans will be for that?

That said, its where will are headed. We havent seen a performance in the league in the last 3 seasons let alone this season that suggests any other destination.

Being genuine contenders at the level we're at.

Desire at the ownership level to actually try and achieve.

* Winning occasionally.
*  Not having to watch games on Sky when all the build up is about Liverpool even when we arent playing them.
* No Carragher, or Gary Neville (spits)
* Not having to put up with Tottenham fans.
* No VAR which has ruined the game, and favours the top 5 just as much as in the old days.
* Time to rebuild with less foreign duds.

Let's be honest, no club and no clubs' fans (except those in Div 1) want to be in the Championship, do they?

Yes, i quite like watching it but stop kidding ourselves its a step in the right direction or will be somehow better for West Ham, it isn't and it won't!

  • Cheaper tickets
  • More 'real' fans
  • Easier 'in/out' from the ground/Stratford
  • No listening to the chumps Sky use for PL football
  • Midweek games
  • It's a proper contest
  • Fewer overpaid ponces in the team
  • More opportunities for our homegrown youngsters
  • Many opponents we don't usually play instead of the same old faces

Admiring the tin roof at Barnsley.

Standing at the Leppings Lane End.

Waving at Devon and Cornwall's police helicopter.

Being mauled by the tigers.

The walk from the Bullring to St Andrews.

I enjoyed following us away in the Championship.

I’ve thought about this a bit as I’ve accepted it’s an increasingly inevitable outcome.

I’m actually struggling with too many negatives, aside from some meaningful fixtures, but even them, I’ve become so disengaged from the Premier League. The financial strength of the foreign ownership at the top make realistically competing at the higher end impossible, before you take into consideration our own inept owners. I’m pretty sick of the closed shop, and PSR only strengthens their position.

To add to that, VAR has killed the buzz in stadiums.

There are some decent sized clubs in the Championship. We should win most weeks and have a genuine chance of winning the thing. Granted the prize is a return to the league I’m disillusioned with, but it’s fun for a season at least.

Sure, we may struggle and stay down. But in reality, the Premier League is a bit shit these days, isn’t it? I suppose you might argue easy to say if you’re trying to soften the blow.

The main negative is more of Andy Hinchcliffe commentating on televised games.
