Mid-Week PL games, 2 - 4 December.
02 December 2025 19:30
A. F. C. Bournemouth v Everton
League Positions: 10 v 15
Current Form: 7 v 23
Everton seem to quietly be on an upward path. Bournemouth seem to have hit the buffers. Strong suggestions of an away win, but I'm going for a:
Draw.
Fulham v Manchester City
League Positions: 14 v 2
Current Form: 33 v 30
Both sided on pretty decent runs recently but City probably have a bit too much depth to call on.
Away Win.
02 December 2025 20:15
Newcastle United v Tottenham Hotspur
League Positions: 13 v 11
Current Form: 30 v 6
Newcastle seem to have finally woken up. Spurs are having a pre-Xmas Spursy moment.
Home win.
03 December 2025 19:30
Arsenal v Brentford
League Positions: 1 v 9
Current Form: 29 v 27
Pretty level current form stats but I still expect an Arsenal victory here after Chelsea gave them a fright on Sunday.
Home win.
Brighton & Hove Albion v Aston Villa
League Positions: 5 v 3
Current Form: 36 v 39
Close to call. Too close for me to stick my neck out.
Draw
Burnley v Crystal Palace
League Positions: 19 v 12
Current Form: 3 v 21
Burnley still struggling, Palace comfortably mid-table (remember that, anybody?).
Away win.
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Nottingham Forest
League Positions: 20 v 16
Current Form: 0 v 23
Oh, how either of these teams will be wishing they were playing us instead of each other.
Draw.
03 December 2025 20:15
Leeds United v Chelsea
League Positions: 18 v 4
Current Form: 3 v 32
Can only really see one outcome here.
Away Win
Liverpool v Sunderland
League Positions: 8 v 6
Current Form: 21 v 23
Xmas came early for Liverpool last week end (Who were they playing?). Can't see them having such an easy ride in this match, though. Still:
Home win.
04 December 2025 20:00
Manchester United v West Ham United
League Positions: 1 v 17
Current Form:23 v 19
After last weekends dismal showing we need something from this game. Can't see it, myself.
Home win.

Re: Mid-Week PL games, 2 - 4 December.
Leeds have peppered Chelseas goal and fortunes favour the brave. Sunderland have clearly took it to Liverpool as well and might get a result whereas we never looked like getting one. Funny what happens when a Team is seriously low on confidence..

Re: Mid-Week PL games, 2 - 4 December.
Chelsea getting bullied by Leeds who have bravely gone for it and played two up front. Something we would never do, not under Nuno.
We look doomed. Wolves, Burnley and West Ham for the drop.

Re: Mid-Week PL games, 2 - 4 December.
I think when you see that Bournemouth have lost 4 of their last 5 (with us their only point) and the scouse are losing again having battered us at the weekend, you really get an idea of how much bother we're in...

Well, 3-1. There goes the Chelsea comeback, if ever one was on the cards.

Re: Mid-Week PL games, 2 - 4 December.
Huge game for Arsenal at Villa next. Only thing in their favour is it's an early noon KO so Villa fans are unlikely to be jumping at that time. I can still see them getting a result though under Arsenal's old boss Emery.
Re: Mid-Week PL games, 2 - 4 December.
Arsenal aren't being handed it they're taking it, they're an outstanding team unfortunately.
As for us if we could play with some intensity we might gain some more points but we need to grow a pair or we'll go down without a whimper. Our last two games have been awful as we were against Burnley, one decent display under Nuno and it needs to change urgently

Massive Attack" wrote: ↑03 Dec 2025, 21:25 It's getting fucking serious now with results as they are with a gap appearing down the bottom. Winds me up even more to think how Nuno approached the Leeds, Brentford and Bournemouth games.
Forest swapped out their old manager for Dyche who's actually getting out a proper tune from the Forest players where Nuno struggled this season and continues to with us.
It's going to be a long, hard relegation battle.
It's a sad state of affairs when we need to wish for a Chelsea comeback against Leeds to keep us out of the relegation zone.

Yeah! and Villa 4-2 up at Brighton has destroyed mine too
Re: Mid-Week PL games, 2 - 4 December.
Brentford fans getting what they always wanted, to watch Arsenal at the Emirates. Even better for them that they can watch Arsenal winning. Christmas come early for them.

Not going our way so far this evening with Leeds currently beating Chelsea and Forest currently beating Wolves.

Nuno made them look like Pep’s Barca thanks to his shite fucking selection.
He then did it again a couple of days later at Leeds.
Why is the useless cսnt even still here?
