PL Games 6th, 7th & 8th December
Saturday 06 December 2025 12:30
Aston Villa v Arsenal
League Positions: 3 v 1
Current Form: 42 v 33
Both teams earned 3 points in their respective mid week games. That and their nearness in the league makes it a tight call. So:
Draw
Saturday 06 December 2025 15:00
A. F. C. Bournemouth v Chelsea
League Positions: 13 v 4
Current Form: 3 v 22
The stats suggest that the points are there for Chelsea's taking, but didn't some imbecile say that about their trip to Leeds a few days ago? Still:
Away win
Saturday 06 December 2025 15:00
Everton v Nottingham Forest
League Positions: 14 v 16
Current Form: 31 v 31
2 places apart in the league and an identical current form stat. Might have to add a "Last time out" parameter to fine tune all this rubbish. I'm getting the word:
Draw
Saturday 06 December 2025 15:00
Manchester City v Sunderland
League Positions: 2 v 6
Current Form: 36 v 20
Sunderland seem to be defying many predictions and appear to be on an extended honeymoon. City have been more "hit" than "miss" recently, so, for no apparent reason:
Home win
Saturday 06 December 2025 15:00
Newcastle United v Burnley
League Positions: 11 v 19
Current Form: 26 v 0
Dream tie for the Bar Codes, less so for Burnley, who haven't played that badly (compared to us, but that particular bar lies deep in a salt mine) and can't turn that form into points.Newcastle still a bit utterly stutterly, but have enough:
Home win
Saturday 06 December 2025 15:00
Tottenham Hotspur v Brentford
League Positions: 10 v 12
Current Form: 7 v 18
Spurs sit higher in the league but Brentford's current form is nearly 3 times better than their host's. Probably all hangs on whether it's the Lily-whites or Lily livered who turn up. Neck out time:
Away win
Saturday 06 December 2025 17:30
Leeds United v Liverpool
League Positions: 17 v 8
Current Form: 15 v 20
Always a game to look forward to back in the days of Division 1. Had this game taken place last year, everybody would have been amazed, given that Leeds weren't even in the PL. Suggestions are that they probably won't be again, next term. They come into this tie with a better current form, yet only one place above the relegation slots:
Home win
Sunday 07 December 2025 14:00
Brighton & Hove Albion v West Ham United
League Positions: 5 v 18
Current Form: 26 v 17
The man behind the sofa says "I'm not coming out until after this game!" Suspect a lot of the West Ham team are likely to be there with him, too. Whatever way you cut/spin this match, it's hollering:
Home win
Sunday 07 December 2025 16:30
Fulham v Crystal Palace
League Positions: 15 v 9
Current Form: 24 v 29
This is it! The match we've all been waiting for! The only (ONLY) London derby that really matters! Sad that it all looks a bit "Meh!", innit? A cautious:
Away win
Monday 08 December 2025 20:00
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Manchester United
League Positions: 20 v 7
Current Form: 0 v 20
Well! Well! and thrice Well! If Wolves want to buy a point, this is probably their best chance. A pub team denied the Red Devils all 3 points (and 5th place in the league) last Thursday, so they'll be smartin'. Everything says:
Away Win

We can match that point tally if we manage a win at Brighton which isn't beyond us.
They were also very unlucky to lose against Man City.

Has a team ever spent so much and disintegrated so quickly after winning a league? This will be studied for years!
At least Leeds didn’t win.. but I think they’ve got a lot of energy. Lucky that Forest lost. Still gives us a chance to climb out of the bottom 3 I suppose.

Re: PL Games 6th, 7th & 8th December
Not good for our relegation battle but a fully deserved point for Leeds to be fair to them by taking the game to Liverpool. Was a thoroughly entertaining score draw having scored 3 times themselves as a newly promoted Club. That approach also got their crowd bang up for it and took them with the players determined effort.

Not ideal but at least they didn’t win. Last thing we need is Leeds going on a good run though.

Absolute weirdo. We all know you don’t want Leeds to get any points.

I thought that was obvious. It meant they still had plenty of time to continue adding to efforts on goal in the entire 2nd half until they eventually scored and now level after scoring twice now. Something we couldn't achieve svorijg even once. Fortune favours the brave..

Newly promoted Leeds have had the same amount of shots at Liverpools goal as we did and they still have the whole of the 2nd half to go yet.
Re: PL Games 6th, 7th & 8th December
Liverpool have the better of it Lees not a shot on goal. Really need the dippers to win this (how sad an indictment on us it is that its only December and we are reduced to this)

Re: PL Games 6th, 7th & 8th December
Liverpool are bang average. We dropped points there with that poor display.
