Nothing will change as long as we have so many supporters so lacking in aspiration

When I saw our line up with 3 of our main back four out on top of our two most creative players I said I'd be more than happy with a point... so to take 4 points off them this season is a good return.

"I watched the first half and the last fifteen minutes. I couldn't believe the last quarter of an hour. The respect we showed them was unbelievable! I pay extra for NBC Sports and Peacock to watch that here in the U.S. If I had paid to watch that in the ground I would be furious. I see that as disrespectful to our loyal fans. The problem we have with Moyes, is that he is not culturally aligned with our club. This dour ""Stoke City approach"" just won't cut it."

"Played better than I expected to be fair once I see the team sheet, everyone gave 100% didn’t create much but without paq & Mo we knew that but still had chances to win it, 4 clean sheets on the trott in the league and our midfields looking stronger.Dinos & oggy have stepped in and haven’t let us down. Our reserves have won us a point against one of our main rivals for 6th spot and Europe, like Moyes I’m pleased with that ."

Respect the point against our bogey team with 5 of our best players missing. Areola MoM with Alvarez a close second.

"Absolute garbage. You could see were were heppy with a point. Played like the away side and still conceded 22 shots to a second string Brighton side. Capitol Man on his usual wind up from the comfort of his sofa. For those that like to employ the term, Moyes was schooled by De Zerbi... and we're now 2 points behind where we were 3 years ago. Massive progress Overground down so Stop/Go to fucking Stratford. Journey home will be 2 hours... provided the next train isn't cancelled too Happy New Fucking Year."

"The problem is context. It’s missing. We’ve spent 400-500 million during his second spell. It’s got us 9 or 10 quality players as opposed to 5 or 6 in the squad. If you don’t promote youth or try to develop what you have it’s gonna take a ton of money and a very long time. In fact so long that the original quality players you got want out before you even get half way to building your quality squad In other words, Steidten is going to have to continuing sh*tting miracles in the transfer market and making sure Moyes is minimised in that regard. Slight positive , Areola, Alvarez, Emerson, Oggy, Stavros, JWP all decent and Johnson was probably the best of the rest. Bowen had a stinker but not his best position and we hardly had the ball for him to get decent service"

The dilemma is that those with regular top 6 ambitions know that they will never achieve it under a manager that sets out to contain a far smaller side with eleven injured players. Even then we were well served by our keeper that was again our MOM while we were hanging on for a point…

Capitol Man 12:07 Wed Jan 3 Well Brighton just battered us with their second and third choices in most positions while spending 300m less than your mate Moyes has. So it's fair to say a lot of teams have a better bench than dreadful cunts like Fornals and Mubama.

"Meerkat - Yes, I've seen us play better, especially in the second half, but an embarrassment? Nah. They had their full frontline out and couldn't beat Nips. THAT'S embarrassing! We were missing - Pacman Kudus Coufal Zouma Aguerd Antonio etc For me, a decent point."

"Sir Alf wrote... That's the dilemma isn't it - how many sides really have a strong bench aside from the very biggest. Yes we've been spending more, but we are still not quite at the top table. As for the youth players - who is it that we think he hasn't put forward - who of those we let go over Moyes' time has set the league on fire? Mbama may be one who makes it but the jury is out on that so far. What games should we have picked him for over the other options?"

"First half was ok. Second half abysmal. Only players with any credit; Areola, Stavros, Oggy, Alvarez, Emerson and Bowen. Benny is an utter fraud of a player, useless cսnt should pay us back for what we paid for him, fucking chancer."

"I would almost accept it in a one off game with Paqueta and Kudus out, if I didn’t think he’ll do exactly the same at nine points Sheffield United in a couple of weeks, but we all know he will. I’ve said it’s difficult to be on the anti-renewal side of the argument given our league position, but that is the sort of negativity in that 2nd half that validates it. Home against a team that don’t keep clean sheets. That is poor even if you love Moyes."
