"Birmingham city centre is great, other than the accent. Had a stack of investment. Some of the inner city areas are grim, but no different to any major city in the world in that regard."

"Be honest. Imagine you were offered an amazing job but it meant you had to move your young family to live in the centre any of these UK cities: Bradford Luton Leicester Birmingham Preston Blackburn And on and on... If you can't honestly answer yes, then you're not a racist but perhaps you just realise that these places now resemble third world shit holes and are rather dangerous places mainly because of mass immigration, illegal or not. It doesn't matter anyway. Nothing will happen about it. The populations will swell and spread to other cities and in a out 30 to 40 years hundreds and thousands of people will be leaving the island to get away from these places. The UK as painful as it is to admit it is absolutely fucked now."

"Well Mike, the illegal immigrants jumped at the chance of being part of that census and if the data was published I think it would be entirely believable."

"Claret Badger 11:15 Tue Dec 19 Re: Public opinion on immigration unfortunately the right always seem to assume migrants won't get jobs, but they do and at every level Your world sounds very nice. Does this apply to every migrant or just the nice smily ones who appear on Britains bakiest muslim or stick their middle finger up at us on the BBC? Why should we have even a single roundabout dweller or bin-forager from another country if we can't provide housing for our own folk? Would you like me to quote you the actual employment figures for the UK somali population or pakistani and bangladeshi females across swathes of Yorkshire and Lancashire? I only ask, as everybody who pays tax, has to fund these people, whether they are one of the rare roundabout dwellers or more likely holed up in a 4 or 5 star hotel at our expense whilst they cheerfully rape, stab and rob their way through our towns, just trying to scratch a living. The poorer communities in the red-wall towns in Lancashire and Yorkshire do not want them. Why have they imposed on them? You need to look up, not down. Or just across to idiotic, well-meaning liberal lefties, like yourself, who stand by and applaud while our country is wrecked."

"""to eat out of bins and live on roundabouts"" is at least 2 orders of magnitude of lifestyle improvement compared to what they originally left behind, and I don't mean in the EU."

Claret Badger 11:15 Tue Dec 19 Quite. Immigrants are net contributers to the Exchequer as the vast majority come here to work and pay taxes as shown by the independent MAC reports. Rwanda is a very strange hill to die on.

Well said Badger - anti-immigration really is such a pathetically weak rallying cry for a party pretending to represent the sovereign as a government.

Same bruuuno. Sid are you pissed off that your wife was allowed to come here and work or pissed off because she doesn’t earn much money? Unless she’s employed by the government I’m not sure what your beef is. Who knew that so many whoers had mail order brides!!

"Colchester Sid 1:35 Tue Dec 19 I hardly know what to say. Sounds like you married an Angel. Give her a kiss from me, a perfect stranger who wholeheartedly loves and appreciates what she does for my country. My mum was the warden of Terry Waite House sheltered housing in Canning Town for thirty years before Newham council stabbed her in the back. Even the vicar at her funeral slaughtered the two fat Africans with the five quid wreath Newham sent, but that's a story for another day. Thank fuck she died just before covid. Anyone working in a care home through COVID deserves a medal It's a tough job in any circumstances to look after people, become friends with them and one day knock on their door with a cup of tea and find them dead, sometimes in horrible ways. My mum used to sleep on the sofa with the telly on to try and block it all out. Like I say, give her a kiss and a hug from me."

"Steve, my wife is also from the Philippines and came here on a spouse visa in 2011 - jumped through all the hurdles to eventually get citizenship and has now worked night shifts in a care home for the past five years. During Covid she never missed a shift and saw many residents die. One of her responsibilities now is end of life care so when residents are in their last hours she sits with them, keeps them comfortable, and makes sure they don't die alone. She was motivated to do this not by money but because of what she saw with Covid. For this she gets paid £11 an hour The Tories are scum for what they are doing. I only hope that when they die they lie there alone, soaking in their own piss and shit. Perhaps then they can start to appreciate what people like my wife did for this country."
