"All 4am starts in the UK 1st Test Jan 25-29 2nd Test Feb 2-6 3rd Test Feb 15-19 4th Test Feb 23-27 5th Test Mar 7-11 Harry Brook has gone home ,replaced by Dan Lawrence of Surrey Virat Kohli not available for first 2 Tests Indian coach Dravid reckons the First Test pitch might turn. No shit Sherlock England havent bothered with a warm up game presumably as they would be put on a green top against an attack of medium pacers"

"6th wicket down, India still 182 behind. Should bowl these out for under 250."

Another 50 runs tomorrow morning would be useful. Interesting to see if the pitch flattens out or if the cracks fall apart NZ restrict Australia to 174 in the second T20i Then shit the bed by being all out for 102 2-0 with one to play

"Yes baseball put away for the afternoon and some sensible test cricket played. Given this pitch is expected to deteriate, england now in a strong position"

Nice pitch with a big fuck off crack in it before they start England recovering now that Root has realised that not batting like a twat is more effective. If they can get past 300 with India batting last they are in a good position

"Just found out that Gordon Greenidge was eligible to play for England, but he chose to play for the Windies. What a batter though not many could hit the ball harder than Sir Gordon Greenidge."

"Good for you Svender, hopefully you now see how embarrassing you’ve been on here being well into your 50’s and pretending to be Australian because your balls dropped there…."

I read something about it a few months ago but to be honest I think two stubborn old cunts squabbling over something that happened almost 50 years ago is a bit boring and pretty sad.

England name Ollie Robinson & Shoaib 'Martin' Bashir as replacements for Mark Wood & Rehan Ahmed in the XI for tomorrows Fourth Test India are resting Jasprit Bumrah & producing a pitch that has large cracks end to end on one side of it which sounds like an Ashwin / Jadeja special

"Root has bowled a lot in this series and has managed to get out to some t20 shots which have looked terrible. Needs to go back to just being Test Match Joe Root Have said before being positive (you can call it BAZBALL) has helped some players relax and feel they can play THEIR game and not think they will be dropped after a couple of failures ... has worked for the likes of Crawley, Duckett & Brook. And even Bairstow (if he isnt in India). Have said before all that is needed is having a Plan B and sometimes doing what the other team doesnt want you to do. Like Root grinding out a century on Day 3 and getting a lead. Or maybe not trying to hit a load of bouncers out of the ground when Lyon went off injured in the Lords Test .... that idiocy cost England the Ashes. Just a bit of subtlety when required (from a Kiwi coach .... yeah, I know) Could probably put a lid on the gormless boasting from Duckett .... How many runs do you want to chase? AS MANY AS POSSIBLE ha ha Ludicrous from the Garden Gnome"

"""What has happened to Root? His form has dropped off the cliff."" It's 3 tests. He was picked in the ICC Test team of 2023, after averaging 66 in 2023, in tests. In his last two tests prior to this tour, he scored an 80 and a 90."

What has happened to Root? His form has dropped off the cliff. English must try to produce a player that can stand at the crease for a whole day and just score 50 runs. That is what Test Cricket is. A Marathon not a sprint. BazBall - you can stick it down your coloured trousers and up your arse when it comes to proper test match cricket.

"Important not to overreact, but that doesn't seem to be the way these days, and can't pretend that I'll have any sympathy if there is a bunch of wailing... given the ridiculous overreaction to anything vaguely good that's happened during BAZBALL. As was always obvious, the acid tests would be the ashes and the tour of India. A review of where we are can happen at the end of the tour but we look like winning neither, and we're second from bottom in the world test championship. We have a nice easy summer coming up so everyone can go back to being a bunch of excited schoolgirls again"

"People said the same when India won in Australia with a bunch out but they probably have 25 players or more of good Test standard Missing KL Rahul, Kohli, Pant & Shami here but they keep finding another one like Jaiswal who slots in and smashes double centuries with a squillion sixes."

When you consider this is in effect an Indian B team then it puts in to perspective this result even more

Brook will be back for the summer Tests and Bairstow will take his final walk. Given Leach has missed the Ashes (back) & played one Test in India (knee) you'd expect the AIDS ridden sicknote to be binned for one of the young spinners who have had experience now. Anderson will be indulged until he goes past 700 wickets and then Warne (708) and then the younger bowlers will get a go.

Oh well - this put's West Ham's performance into some sort of perspective. At least they avoided the follow-on in the first innings.
