"All confirmed, starts on July 1st but I guess he has already unofficially started. Good luck to him, here's hoping he is a success."

It wasn't that small. More of a medium sized village.

Apparently Jlo supported West Ham whilst growing up in some small Spanish village.

"Nice one. Already looking forward to him getting stuck in but will be interesting to hear his take on how he generally views the Club, the potential we've got and how he'll go about it, not the minutiae, but a philosophy he'd like to implement over time."

"Alf Listened to Ashley Young on Talksport yesterday and he said the players weren't happy with Moyes because he banned chips at the training ground for the players, even though ""The Boss"" Ferguson had no issue with it. He also said to everyone when he 1st arrived that he wouldn't be changing much at all after taking over from Ferguson which everyone bought in too, however people including playing staff apparently were fucked off once Moyes asked many of the old staff to go, including Coaches and people who have been around Manchester United for time, but Moyes saw fit to fuck many of the old guard off. Result - Sacked after a disastrous spell at Old Trafford. The absolute chip hatin, insensitive bastard! Enough to give anyone a chip on their shoulder with that attitude and bear face lying about not drastically changing much of the old successful Man Utd culture built by arguably the best manager there's ever been in the English game. Nor surprised in the slightest though to hear it from those that used to play for him."

It's looks as if kretinsky has put his foot down. Regarding the dwarf. Steitden has to be left to do his thing. I still suspect zaha will end up here over the summer. Salthouse will be allowed to get at least one in .

He'd been at the club for 13 years so was here before Moyes. Who knows if Moyes took any notice of him though!

Any news on Doris the Tea Lady? That old bag has been hanging around Chadwell Heath and then Rush Green like a curse over tye club for years !!! The ”full English” breakfast fry up to be replaced by a continental offering? End of the 4ft tea urn and no more fag ash in the food. That will signify a real change in culture and perhaps fortunes for West Ham ?

The biggest surprise is that Moyes had a performance analyst. It’s all a bit modern for him.

"I'd be hypocrite if I didn't question the appointment. I did when Moyes employed his son, as did many others."

He will be able to 100% trust him and know they'll be on the same page. See little wrong with it and actually like the fact his old boy will be working alongside him and qualified at what he does.

"Why is it, if he believes his son is he best person for the job? Or who he trusts most for the job. He doesn’t strike me as an Allardyce type character who is just helping his son to financial gain. Looks like he cut his teeth in England in the football league before his Dad gave him a gig so he isn’t being given a leg up without any experience."

"Just to be clear, neither Lopetegui's son or Jamie Osman are performance ""coaches"" as such. They are analysts, who compile data and video to highlight strengths and weaknesses in order to influence training and match day preparation."

"Employing his son does sound a bit crappy, although at least this fella has experience as a performance analyst and scout at other clubs and a degree in football business & finance, so it's not like his Dad gives him work because he wouldn't get any otherwise. He's also the one who apparently recommended and scouted Joao Gomes at Wolves, which was a great buy. As far as Jamie Osman goes, does anyone know if he was actually any good at his job or that this is a step backwards in any way at all? Being here so long you'd figure that either he was good at it or that the managers we've had just didn't care much about the role, which is sadly quite believable. In Trevor Brooking's brief time here he would create these huge dossiers on the opposition to show the team in preparation for each match. Even experienced players like David James had seen nothing at that level before."

Should we just tell an incoming manager he can’t have his own performance coach because we’ve had one here a long time then? You’re clearly against this appointment but this isn’t unique to West Ham or Lopetegui. New managers generally bring in their own team where they have specialists. Clearly he doesn’t take a goalkeeping coach with him as he kept Tony Roberts at Wolves. Guess Valero is seen as a good fit in this set up. Coaches in professional sport will be very aware of the potentially volatile change of employment. The current bloke probably can’t believe he’s survived 13 years and four managers.

"I think it's pretty clear all season now that Moyes was going, the rouse of a new contract was to pacify him. The club always was going to allow Tim to rip it all up and start again"

I am really enjoying reading about these changes and the way the club and the new manager and team are intending to operate. It feels like we are doing all the right things to succeed. My only worry is that all these changes and hopes almost seem too exciting?
