What credentials does Noble have for Sporting Director…???
please define Sporting Director…
You back on this one again, you really don't like him do you. You asked about this just the other month.
You want someone to answer, just so you can then mock said answer. Typical WHO.

The manager situation is the classic example of why Sullivan is a problem and why Steidten is a faux-appointment.
He was brought in as Technical Director (de-facto Director of Football) and we already have a Sporting Director in Noble.
At ANY other club, these two between them would run the entire and complete aspects of the football operation...including hiring and firing of the coach. The only person that should be deciding Lopetegui's fate is Steidten.
But as we're seeing, the person deciding that and being quoted left right and centre is Sullivan. Which makes Steidten no more than a glorified head of recruitment/head of scouting.
And as said...all that proves is that Sullivan remains the key issue holding West Ham back.
He needs to as a minimum be totally sidelined from the football aspects of the club (including all transfer involvement where there are on going allegations of skimming as an involved party). If he wants to run the budget at a macro level fine...but all the while he gets to make football-aspect decisions, we're on a hiding to nothing.

The big problem like everyone else has said is we just know Sullivan can't be trusted to select the next manager. You would have hoped Tim had a bit more imagination and sway on the decision but who knows with DS.
For what its worth I always wanted to get Frank in from Brentford but it seems like its almost become fact now that he won't pay compensation for a manager?

Unless Kretinsky buys out Sullivan.(Which ain’t happening anytime soon.) The club ain’t going anywhere. The Mayor won’t sell the ground. The league are happy we show no threat to their chosen clubs. And the media are over the moon that they have a big club who they can kick whenever they want. And a owner who is more than willing too give them ammo.
Like any cancer. Unless it is removed. It will eventually destroy its host.
Let’s not over-dramatise. We can be reasonably confident West Ham United will bury Sullivan & Son rather than visa versa.

Sullivan wont want to admit he is wrong, wont want to pay off Loppy and wont get the next appointment right.
And if someone else does come in they will need to change us back to being more of a counter attacking team again with less possession unfortunately because we simply dont have the central midfield legs to play many other ways imo

Fraser, no idea, I think he's fucking hopeless but that was still a good wolves squad when he took over. Really good
TM - it was a good squad at Wolves when Lopetegui took over.
He did well there, so I preface everything I'm about to write with that observation.
But he "only" took 31 points from 23 games. It was good enough to ease them away from trouble, of course. But it wasn't a huge total. It's just that there were some really poor sides in the division during that 2022/23 season. The three that went down (Southampton, Leeds and Leicester) got nowhere near the 40-point mark. And if Wolves had lost one more game, they would have finished 16th or 17th (IIRC) - not 13th.
His Wolves side also only scored 23 goals in those 23 games.
He's a bottom half manager at best, in my opinion - and I said last summer.

rename the thread 'Next West Ham Chairman' because until Sullivan goes the manager choice and player acquisition will be underwhelming.
Fully expect Sullivan to be having another look at Rafa Benitez if and when we sack Lopategui.

Yes it was. Massively underperforming under Lage, but Sa, Ait-Nouri, Semedo, Neves, Nunes, Neto, Traore and Jimenez would probably all have been in our team yesterday.. maybe even Moutinho, Chan and Podence too... and of course Kilman was

I can’t see Sullivan informing Brady to pull the trigger yet, he has no other interest or ambition to be better other than staying in the division and being better than 3 other clubs. He doesn’t give a flying fuck for the support and it’s pointless to expect anything from him that’s any different than a safe pair of hands. Lopetegui is close but not on dangerous ground yet.
We can all dream of an ambitious and exciting manager who has a pattern of playing in his mind, but ultimately that pattern is probably not going to match the one in Sullivans mind.
He doesn’t give a fuck about us, only what keeps the dollar coming, no empty seats with all them tourists.
I think that out of everyone we’ve been linked with only Mourinho would make a stand against Sullivan if he meddled, then when it’s clear and in the open the fanbase might get together again.
Say what you like about Sullivan and Brady but they could win every trophy going on sucking the passion out of our home support.

the west ham job would be attractive to most managers out there, the one stumbling block is when they finally sit down with the five foot freak
Which makes it an unattractive proposition.
There is a reason why we have never attracted the top top managers and I don't believe it is all down to Sullivan.

The name isn’t comedy, your ‘persona’ is meant to be funny.
It isn’t.
Your desperate attempts to get attention are pathetic.

Lopetegui was a horrible bit of Business, but it starts and stops with the ownership.
Lopetegui clearly has to go, but fuck Sullivan and his band of shit. He absolutely stink this place out.
Fuck Off Sullivan!

I totally agree, should never have got the job.
I always liked the idea of paying Bournemouth or Brentford compensation for their manager, but I honestly don't believe that West Ham would be an attractive enough proposition for either.

I may be wrong, but I'm sure at that time he had a core of Portuguese players (many internationals) that had a good relationship with each other before the cսnt arrived
But they were still bottom and under performing when he arrived, so he turned it around. Baffled by it.

Two seasons ago we had a much worse start and spent more and still had Rice in the team.
Curiously Lop took over at Wolves at the same time and took them from bottom to 11th and above us.. I've seen nothing from him this season which gives a clue how the fuck he managed that.

Some excellent names being mentioned and are all worthy as a consideration.
Also, I think Jermaine Defoe, as an up and coming coach would be worthy as a rooky consideration.
You’re pathetic.
But you all keep on biting.
