A progressive manager doesn't play Alvarez JWP and Soucek between now and the end of the season
I said a more progressive manager. So more progressive than Moyes was.
I know you want us to play like Pep's Barcelona, but that's not what I'm suggesting Potter is gonna try and be.
Ok the point still stands, Potter wants to have a grip on possession and press well. Those 3 don't fit that narrative at all. Attacking wise its not offering much either.
Ok, so what's the alternative?
Play Guido? Soler? Irving? Orford is clearly a million miles off being ready.
JWP will look better in a more possession based system.

To loan out one of the best dead ball players the PL has ever seen at the same time we signed the German Lee Chapman was a stupid decision.
I would rather have JWP as a midfield option than both Rodriguez and Soler. Hopefully we will see Rodriguez leave today.

We used Alvarez - JWP - Soucek multiple times last season and it never worked.. We got completely run through...
Well we now have a more progressive manager.

I doubt very much he'll play like that unless forced to by injuries, when we used those three last season Alvarez became the ball carrier because the other two couldn't get it forward. JWP rarely passed the ball forwards, and yes I know there were less forward options under Moyes, but I just don't see it and I actually prefer to see Soucek start

Maybe so, but a few tweaks could possibly change that. Anyway, best to wait as he may not even use that set up. or maybe you know more than Potter?
I wasn't suggesting he would I was replying to someone who did.

Potter realised after the Palace game that it’s Alvarez OR Guido, defo not both.
JWP alongside either of them gives the team a much better balance.
Obvs Soucek retains his place, as our set-pieces are about to improve tenfold, so he has to be in the side to get on the end of them.

Always found it odd that JLo had no time for him.
Started really well for us last season and tailed off but there is a decent, team player in there somewhere.
I reckon Potter could get something out of him so I'm pleased he's back.
But agree, hope Orford still gets some minutes.

Can't say I'm a fan but guess what I reckon Potter knows more than me, so happy to see how he plans to use him. Worse case he's better than Rodders and is useful from set pieces.
Welcome back Prowsey, fella.

Better option than Rodriguez or Irving, solid pro who I think will do well under Potter.
No point in having him on Forests bench and depreciating in value. Bring him back and let Potter have a look at him and maybe move him on in the summer.
Sensible decision for me.

Unless its to replace Soucek as far better on the ball think I would rather Orford given the minutes from now till end of the season.
Unless this spells the end of Rodriguez
I reckon Soucek must've had a go on your missus.

JWP put 0 creativity in last season... Well 0 is maybe stretching it but not a lot more
