He had to go and well done to the board for sacking him before any more damage was done. Nuno can be nothing but an upgrade on pathetic Potter the personification of a fraud.

There is a big difference between low block, and being organised defensively with a threat on the counter. I enjoy counter attacking football. The spell under Moyes when Lingard was scoring nearly every game was great to watch, he obviously went solely defensive toward the back end.
Nuno, last season at least, played that exact style. I can’t understand how anyone would prefer tippy tappy, aimless passing, to a structured set up that is a little more direct and with purpose on the break.
Hopefully we get similar to Forest last season.

So Nuno has gone from the fat Greek to the fake Russian Mini-Me. Hope he's brought his boxing gloves.

The writing was on the wall from a very early stage with Potter.
He never looked comfortable or happy to be here and certainly never convinced.
I will believe Nuno when I see him officially announced and not before as with this circus you can take nothing for granted.
If he is appointed let's hope he can improve the squad and tolerate the likes of Brady and Sullivan to move us up the table and give us a club to be proud of once more.

Presumably part of the reason for delaying the sacking until today was that terms had to be agreed with all Nuno's backroom staff as well, and in the meantime the training sessions still needed to take place.
It seems such a ridiculous and needlessly expensive situation that a manager apparently can't do his job properly without taking his senior staff with him wherever he goes. What other managerial job in the world allows that?

We haven’t taken a Manager from his current club since Pardew
And they wonder why our Fans complain about a real lack of ambition at the Club. Usually successful managers are still in jobs doing well, not usually out of them...

Since 2020, Nuno has managed 4 clubs. Why was he sacked from Wolves, Tottenham, Al lttihad and forest ?

This is such a weird line to make at this late stage after officially confirming Potters sacked position..
There is confidence on both sides that a deal can be agreed in time for Nuno to take charge of the side against Everton on Monday Night Football.
It's either been agreed or it hasn't at this stage surely?

Emery or Glasner were the ones we should have gone for when we had the opportunity. Villa decided to pay the compo for Emery in the end showing real ambition whilst still in the Villareal job which Sullivan is too tight to ever do. And Glasner was still out of work whilst Sullivan dragged his tiny feet only to do the inevitable in sacking Moyes in any case.
Sullivan could have prevented all this with some genuine smart Footballing insight and decisive action, but that is never going to be the case as he is a thick as pig shit tight as fuck Owner who always ends up shooting himself in the foot - Also see his very 1st moronic WHU appointment as perfect evidence of what was to also come later down the line...

As happy as i am Potter has been bombed out, Nuno coming in is just another spin of the same Sullivan roulette wheel.
Should be an improvement enough to keep us up, but doesn’t feel like the club is changing course for the better.
You've only got to look at his record to see that we are changing course for the better.
Whether it comes off or not is another story, but that applies to anyone taking the job, even moreso as it's West Ham under Sullivan.
I don’t see him as an improvement on Moyes. Which is what we should have done at first go of asking. Just a side ways step to paper over the two previous errors.

Back to the low block then.
Do we have any pace in the team for counter attack?

I'm excited.
also Fulkrug the same way he did with wood is similar to Fulkrug.
Normally I'd agree but the big difference between those two is 1 isn't anywhere near as injury prone as the German Carthorse with almsot double the amount of career apps. Fullkrugs as reliable as a chocolate teapot.

oh and LOL at the Kilman being reborn as Bobby Moore spiel. That cսnt is fucking useless and no-one could ever improve him.

I'm excited.
Think he will get a tune out of Kilman given their history (and sort the issues out in central defence) also Fulkrug the same way he did with Wood who is similar to Fulkrug.
Doubt he will start JWP and hoping he will integrate Magassa more quickly.than Potter intended to.
He might even recall Alvarez in Jan if that's an option in the loan deal.
Will be interesting to see who starts in goal (Areola is my bet) and at CB too.

Kilman is very complimentary about Nuno. "He made me the player I am today" he says.
Just kidding. He did say this though:
“I was a big, strong boy but I had so much to work on. [Nuno improved] my game understanding and my physicality. When, I came in I had never played five at the back so I’ve had to adapt and understand my role as a defender. I’ve had to become stronger and sharper, and that’s what I lacked when I first came into Wolves.
“I had to know when to press, when to get tight to my man, when to cover, and understanding how to cover round my wing-back and work as a five.
“Nuno and the whole staff don’t just say, ‘It’s good enough’. There’s always room for improvement and they’re always trying to find ways to make us that little bit better.”
He looked solid when Lopetegui kept Wolves up but he had better quality around him pointing out where he should stand...
