Fullkrug Speaks Out
Well dolne to the bloke. Unfortunately I didn't actually see his interview but imo he said some things that needed saying. There's clearly a divided camp and so I guess the question needs to be asked why the players who are, according to Fullkrug, not playing to instructions are still being picked.
As many people have pointed out before there is no relegation danger so there is absolutely no downside to throwing a few kids and squad players into the team and leaving out the offenders.. Alvarez was missing completely from the squad yesterday, as was Wan Bissaka. Apparently AWB picked up an in jury in training, which explains his absence, but Alvarez is apparently leaving cryptic messages on social media saying something like "all will soon be revealed". That suggests he may be one of those soon out of the door.
But it's good that someone has had the balls to speak out.. There's clearly a lot wrong and sweeping shit under the carpet has nevcer been the right way to clear up a nasty smell.,

Re: Fullkrug Speaks Out
Bowen's out for 7 days due to concussion protocols, the rest of the squad know who the new Daddy is and the cowardly Pottercunt never leaves his office again.
It won't happen Potter's already had them over his place for a soy quiche circle jerk.

Re: Fullkrug Speaks Out
The German is very experienced and has played at a good level. He clearly feels that on the pitch the team is performing below the level of its constituent parts. I hope that other players are annoyed about what has been said especially when they take on board the fact that most of us fans feel the same way as Fully.
Re: Fullkrug Speaks Out
What happens if Bowen, as the appointed captain, calls out Fullkrug at training after being convinced to do so by the players who are guilty of what Fullkrug has said... And the big man sparks out Bowen in front of everyone?

Re: Fullkrug Speaks Out
I saw the clip where Pardew described Fullkrugs comments as ‘outlandish’
Reckon everyone at the game would describe them as long overdue, much needed & 100% accurate
Hopefully Monday morning training sees some players called out & the big German lays a few out

Re: Fullkrug Speaks Out
Apparently, the Wolves players had the same problem of not giving a shit/not playing to instructions under Gary O'Neill.
Looks like they didn't replace him with a flake, though.

Also knew he was a bit of a cսnt.
If ever there was a man who needed to be found by the players (and their wives, allegedly) and asked to properly explain himself it's Chocolate.

Re: Fullkrug Speaks Out
It was good what he said, respect the bloke for that, he himself got some stick before/during the injury, mainly down to age and fee paid, personally think if he is here next season give him the armband? As much as i like Bowen its not always the best move to give your best player the captaincy and if anything, i get the impression Bowen likes to be everyone's mate and not rock the boat, so dishing out cuntings and kicking some arses may not be his forte!

Seems like he was right. The injury thing has obviously destroyed his season , but the ability is clear every time he takes the field (every time he plays he's involved in clear goal scoring opportunities), and the personality is coming through the more he's involved.
Hope he sticks around for next season. We need characters like this around the Club to help drive standard higher.
Todibo himself even highlighted it in interview the other day...suggested anyone questioning Fullkrug didn't know what they were talking about because he was world class, had proven himself on the highest of stages and had nothing to prove to anyone, and the players could all see it and knew it too.
Yes, he's a serious pro and player with a pedigree of the highest level. A real shame he's been injured and let's hope he's here next season.

Very true, I know from my own experience it's easier to start from scratch than unlearn because the previous learning has become a second habit (Still struggling to navigate this new WHO this is a reply to Ganks post )

Re: Fullkrug Speaks Out
Anyone who played for us under Moyes had this mentality drilled into them every day, they're not going to be able to switch that off. Newer players who have come in like Fullkrug won't understand why Potter says to do one thing and the more established players do something else, but as soon as a player plays on instinct it's going to be the way they trained for so long.
It takes longer to unteach something than to teach something but in such a robust system as Moyes developed over a long time, reversing the learning is necessary before reteaching a new mentality and the system to accompany it.
Top marks to Fullkrug for speaking out though, Potter is a media man who says the same old thing every time he faces a camera and none of our other players have much of a personality, including Bowen.
I couldn't stand that prat Noble but at least he knew what to say to get through to the supporters. Nolan, Upson and di Canio did as well. All very different players but those are the type of people you want as leaders so Fullkrug could have made a great captain if it hadn't already gone to Bowen, he'd probably be upset if he lost the captaincy now.

Re: Fullkrug Speaks Out
Think he said some players were unwilling or unable to do what the manager asks
We do have a lot who are lazy, disinterested & couldn’t run out of sight in a week
Reckon we’d struggle in WALKING FOOTBALL at the moment

Re: Fullkrug Speaks Out
As has been said before, we lack leaders on the pitch. Killman and JWP were both captains of their previous clubs, but show no leadership qualities. Bowen is a great player for us, but not much of a captain. Cresswell, Soucek and Alvarez have a bit about them, but aren’t playing. It’s refreshing to have someone with passion who can articulate the problems like Fullkrug has. I’m really starting to like him as a player. It’s just a shame that his spell with us has been hindered by injuries.
When we are rebuilding next year, we need strong characters as well as players with pace.

Re: Fullkrug Speaks Out
I personally don’t think the players,or some of them, are ignoring Potter I just think it is their own football brain subconsciously saying to keep what they’ve got because they know they are quite rubbish really and they have basically spent the last 4 years playing that way. We need new fresh faces for next season, hopefully with pace, speed and ambition.

Sounds like some were a problem when JLO was in the job too, so hard to lay it at the feet of Potter. The club never has any vision or plan.

Re: Fullkrug Speaks Out
It is a player issue. The clubs so unambitious. the players think they can take the piss out of the supporters. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with it . But while Sullivans chairman nothing will change. The big fella cares one of the few that does.

Re: Fullkrug Speaks Out
He said what everyone who was at the match was thinking.
LOTS of players need to be out the door obviously
If players aren’t doing what the manager asks they need to be out of the team
Would rather see some of the kids now that we are safe for all purposes …. Ipswich with 10 men & 2-0 down to Arsenal (0 shots & xG of 0.02, Leicester down if they don’t beat Liverpool )

Manuel wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025, 13:13 Tin hat on but maybe these were not Potter's instructions to sit back and the players, or some of them, were ignoring him. Fullkrug seems to be implying that Potter didn't want us to sit back, also Russy B from the Network was near the benches and he said Potter kept telling them to push up. Logically, why would he want to sit back yesterday when winning, did he have form at his previous clubs doing this, it just don't make any sense really. Anyway, it's just an absolute mess at this point and I don't think anyone has the answers.
On another note, that gormless mute cսnt Kilman is a fucking joke of a CB, can't he speak? Defies believe he was captain at Wolves, and now we are stuck with him. Mavros is the better defender.
That’s how I interpreted it too. A player issue rather than a manager issue
